Background: Salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma (SACC) is a unique malignant tumor of the salivary gland with poor prognosis, which is not effective with chemotherapy and targeted drugs. Therefore, it is important to explore the molecular mechanism underlying SACC invasion and metastasis to develop novel therapeutic strategies and targets in clinical research.
Methods: Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) and western blot (WB) were performed to detect the expression of Adherens Junctions Associated Protein 1 ().

Purpose: Breast cancer (BC) is the most frequent malignant tumor in women worldwide with exceptionally high morbidity. The RNA-binding protein MEX3A plays a crucial role in genesis and progression of multiple cancers. We attempted to explore its clinicopathological and functional significance in BC in which MEX3A is expressed.

Background: Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) has proven to provide high rates of tumor control for patients with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). We are reporting a multicenter experience of long-term clinical outcomes and adverse effect profiles of patients with medically inoperable early-stage NSCLC treated with SBRT.
Methods: A total of 145 early-stage NSCLC patients underwent SBRT at the Cancer Hospital of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (Zhejiang Cancer Hospital), Shandong Cancer Hospital and Institute, and Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital between October 2012 and March 2019.

Mevalonate metabolism plays an important role in regulating tumor growth and progression; however, its role in immune evasion and immune checkpoint modulation remains unclear. Here, we found that non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients with higher plasma mevalonate response better to anti-PD-(L)1 therapy, as indicated by prolonged progression-free survival and overall survival. Plasma mevalonate levels were positively correlated with programmed death ligand-1 (PD-L1) expression in tumor tissues.

We conducted two indirect comparisons to estimate the efficacy of zanubrutinib versus orelabrutinib in Chinese patients with relapsed or refractory (R/R) chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL) or R/R mantle cell lymphoma (MCL). An unanchored matching-adjusted indirect comparison (MAIC) was performed in R/R CLL/SLL patients. Individual patient data from zanubrutinib trial (BGB-3111-205) were adjusted to match the aggregated data from the orelabrutinib trial (ICP-CL-00103).

Background: Treatment options for patients with recurrent/metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma (RM-NPC) are not clear after progression on previous treatment with PD-(L)1 inhibitor; critical gaps in evidence remain for such cases. Immunotherapy combined with antiangiogenic therapy has been reported to have synergistic antitumor activity. Therefore, we evaluated the efficacy and safety of camrelizumab plus famitinib in patients with RM-NPC who failed treatment with PD-1 inhibitor-containing regimens.

Ovarian cancers, especially high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC), are one of the most lethal age-independent gynecologic malignancies. Although pathogenic microorganisms have been demonstrated to participate in the pathogenesis of multiple types of tumors, their potential roles in the development of ovarian cancer remain unclear. To gain an insight into the microbiome-associated pathogenesis of ovarian cancer and identify potential diagnostic biomarkers, we applied different techniques to analyse the microbiome and serum metabolome of different resources.

Background And Aims: Atherosclerosis preferentially occurs at regions in arterial branching, curvature, and stenosis, which may be explained by the geometric predilection of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) concentration polarization that has been investigated in major arteries in previous studies. Whether this also happens in arterioles remains unknown.
Methods: Herein, a radially non-uniform distribution of LDL particles and a heterogeneous endothelial glycocalyx layer in the mouse ear arterioles, as shown by fluorescein isothiocyanate labeled wheat germ agglutinin (WGA-FITC), were successfully observed by a non-invasive two-photon laser-scanning microscopy (TPLSM) technique.

Disability weights are crucial for quantifying health loss associated with non-fatal outcomes and were not well assessed in different countries, especially for specific cancer. Therefore, this study aimed to identify disability weights with a focus on specific cancer in a large Chinese population. Two types of web surveys were conducted, and 254 health states, including 30 new states for specific cancer, were investigated using paired comparison methods.

Purpose: Secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) is a frequently encountered problem in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) prior to renal transplantation (RTP), and the successful management of SPHP currently is challenging. In this study, we aimed to investigate the effectiveness of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for SHPT as a bridge to RTP and to evaluate post-transplantation outcomes.
Methods: Patients with SHPT receiving RFA treatment were retrospectively reviewed, and those underwent RTP after ablation were enrolled.

Introduction: Current treatments for patients with previously treated advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) provide modest survival benefits. We evaluated the safety and antitumor activity of serplulimab, an anti-PD-1 antibody, plus the bevacizumab biosimilar HLX04 in this patient population.
Methods: In this open-label, multicenter, phase 2 study in China, patients with advanced HCC who failed prior systemic therapy received serplulimab 3 mg/kg plus HLX04 5 mg/kg (group A) or 10 mg/kg (group B) intravenously every 2 weeks.
Background: There are few real-world studies in which the efficacy of sequential crizotinib and second-generation anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) are compared with direct therapy of second-generation ALK TKI in -positive advanced lung cancer.
Methods: Between May 2014 and October 2022, 211 patients from the Zhejiang Cancer Hospital who harbored rearrangement were analyzed. Of these patients, 115 received crizotinib with sequential second-generation ALK TKIs, and 96 patients received a second-generation ALK TKI directly.

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) is a central metabolite in cellular processes. Depletion of NAD has been demonstrated to be a prevalent theme in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic immune responses. Short prokaryotic Argonaute proteins (Agos) are associated with NADase domain-containing proteins (TIR-APAZ or SIR2-APAZ) encoded in the same operon.

Currently, the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is limited by the special pathological characteristics of this disease. In recent years, photodynamic therapy (PDT) has created new hope for the treatment of TNBC. Moreover, PDT can induce immunogenic cell death (ICD) and improve tumor immunogenicity.

Mild behavioral impairment (MBI) is a neurobehavioral syndrome that occurs in the absence of cognitive impairment later in life (≥50 years of age). MBI is widespread in the pre-dementia stage and is closely associated with the progression of cognitive impairment, reflecting the neurobehavioral axis of pre-dementia risk states and complementing the traditional neurocognitive axis. Despite being the most common type of dementia, Alzheimer's disease (AD) does not yet have an effective treatment; therefore, early recognition and intervention are crucial.

Purpose: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a highly heterogeneous and aggressive breast malignancy. Glucocorticoid (GC)-glucocorticoid receptor (GR) pathway plays a pivotal role in the cellular responses to various stresses including chemotherapy. Serum- and glucocorticoid-induced kinase-1 (SGK1) is known as an important downstream effector molecule in the GR signaling pathway, we attempted to explore its clinicopathological and functional significance in TNBC in which GR is expressed.
