Vector AutoRegressive Moving Average (VARMA) models form a powerful and general model class for analyzing dynamics among multiple time series. While VARMA models encompass the Vector AutoRegressive (VAR) models, their popularity in empirical applications is dominated by the latter. Can this phenomenon be explained fully by the simplicity of VAR models? Perhaps many users of VAR models have not fully appreciated what VARMA models can provide.

Introduction: Measurements of health-related quality of life (HRQoL) are important for capturing disease impact beyond physical health and relative to other diseases but have rarely been assessed in primary progressive aphasia (PPA).
Methods: HRQoL was characterized overall, by sex and subtype in PPA ( = 118) using the Health Utilities Index-2/3 (HUI2/3). Multiple linear regression assessed associations between HRQoL and language severity.
Introduction: Up to 20% of older adults in the United States have mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and about one-third of people with MCI are predicted to transition to Alzheimer's disease (AD) within 5 years. Standard cognitive assessments are long and require a trained technician to administer. We developed the first computerized adaptive test (CAT) based on multidimensional item response theory (MIRT) to more precisely, rapidly, and repeatedly assesses cognitive abilities across the adult lifespan.

In this national survey of EM residency programs, we explored the current national distribution of virtual versus in-person didactic time and the circumstances and motivators for use of each.
Methods: A cross-sectional survey with branched logic was designed via Qualtrics.

Introduction: The study aimed to establish meaningful thresholds at patient and group levels for the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire CLL-specific module (EORTC QLQ-CLL17) domain scores in adults with relapsed or refractory (R/R) chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL).
Material And Methods: Data for the analysis were from the TRANSCEND CLL 004 study (NCT03331198). EORTC QLQ-CLL17 and selected anchor measures were assessed at baseline and multiple postbaseline visits up to 24 months after treatment initiation.
Patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma proceeding with chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy or bispecific antibodies (BsAb) may need bridging therapy to realize their benefits. We evaluated the efficacy and safety of rapid, peripheral, high-dose cyclophosphamide (TurboCy) in 15 patients intending to proceed with CAR T-cell therapy, BsAbs, or long-term regimens. The overall response rate was 80% and the clinical benefit rate was 100% in a heavily pretreated high-risk cohort.

Therefore, greatly interests conservation geneticists, but it is also very relevant to policymakers, managers, and conservation practitioners. Molecular methods to estimate rely on various assumptions, including no immigration, panmixia, random sampling, absence of spatial genetic structure, and/or mutation-drift equilibrium.

Preventing HIV among PLWMI is a priority for multiple domestic public health agencies. As key clinicians for this group, psychiatrists may have an important role to play in increasing PrEP use among PLWMI.

Additionally, we sought to understand how resource limitations caused by COVID-19 influenced this practice. Identification of key determinants, of undistributed and disrupted practice, will aid development of future strategies to reduce inappropriate ADT prescribing in current and future resource-limited settings.

Objective: The objectives of the study were to assess emergency medicine (EM) physician perceptions of the EM job market 2 years after "The Emergency Medicine Physician Workforce: Projections for 2030" was published in and to examine how the workforce report may have influenced perceptions about job prospects.
Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in 2022 of EM residents, fellows, and attendings at 21 practice sites. Main outcomes were perceptions of the likelihood of currently finding any job, currently finding a desirable job, and confidence in the future EM job market.
Objective: Olfactory dysfunction (OD) is a condition primarily affecting older adults. Several factors have been implicated in OD, such as age, socioeconomic status, and neurodegenerative disease; however, the effect of military service still requires additional investigation. Here, we aim to determine if there is an association between prior military service and OD among older adults.

Study of the implementation of these recommendations is needed. This study aimed to test whether a patient survey embedded in the Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR), coupled with telephonic nurse care management, could engage patients in personalized goal setting and chronic disease management.

Objective: This study assesses the effectiveness of clinical simulation-based training in boosting self-perceived confidence for using upstander communication skills to confront racism, discrimination, and microaggressions (RDM).
Methods: We conducted an observational cohort study with emergency medicine professionals at the 2023 Scientific Assembly of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. The study featured a clinical simulation-based training on upstander communications skills session followed by small- and large-group debriefs.
Comparative anatomy is an important tool for investigating evolutionary relationships among species, but the lack of scalable imaging tools and stains for rapidly mapping the microscale anatomies of related species poses a major impediment to using comparative anatomy approaches for identifying evolutionary adaptations. We describe a method using synchrotron source micro-x-ray computed tomography (syn-μXCT) combined with machine learning algorithms for high-throughput imaging of Lepidoptera (i.e.

Objective: This novel pilot study constructs a social deprivation index (SDI) and utilizes an area deprivation index (ADI) to evaluate the link between social determinants of health and rhinology patient experiences.
Methods: Adult patients undergoing outpatient care of chronic rhinitis and chronic rhinosinusitis at a tertiary academic medical center were recruited to participate in a telephone survey assessing symptoms, social/emotional consequences of disease, and barriers to care on a 5-point Likert scale. Sociodemographic characteristics were utilized to rate SDI on an 8-point scale.
Differences in the number of alien plant species in different locations may reflect climatic and other controls that similarly affect native species and/or propagule pressure accompanied with delayed spread from the point of introduction. We set out to examine these alternatives for Himalayan plants, in a phylogenetic framework. We build a database of alien plant distributions for the Himalaya.

Despite several global resolutions to reduce traffic injuries, they have continued to grow in many countries.
