Objective: Common peroneal (fibular) neuropathy is the most common mononeuropathy of the lower extremity. Despite this, there are surprisingly few studies on the topic, and a knowledge gap remains in the literature. As one attempts to address this knowledge gap, a core outcome set (COS) is needed to guide the planning phases of future studies to allow synthesis and comparability of these studies.

With the advent of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, some doubts have been raised regarding the potential respiratory problems that patients who previously underwent a phrenic nerve transfer could have. To analyze the effects of the coronavirus infection on two populations, one from Argentina and another from Taiwan. Specific objectives were: (1) to identify the rate of COVID in patients with a history of phrenic nerve transfer for treatment of palsy; (2) to identify the overall symptom profile; (3) to compare Argentinian versus Taiwanese populations; and (4) to determine if any phrenic nerve transfer patients are at particular risk of more severe COVID.

Attempts at body contour modifications have led to the use of different alloplastic materials that can irreversibly damage health and risk patients' lives. These modeling substances can induce a general autoimmune inflammatory response, producing a very heterogeneous clinical spectrum ranging from mild and severe systemic to local symptoms that sometimes affect peripheral nerves. We report a unique case of a tumor-like sciatic nerve impairment produced months after the injection of a modeling substance into the buttocks for esthetic purposes.

Objective: When considering traumatic brachial plexus and upper extremity nerve injuries, iatrogenic nerve injuries, and nontraumatic nerve injuries, brachial plexus and upper extremity nerve injuries are commonly encountered in clinical practice. Despite this, data synthesis and comparison of available studies are difficult. This is at least in part due to the lack of standardization in reporting and a lack of a core outcome set (COS).

Introduction: The traditional donor sites for autologous breast reconstruction include the abdomen, thigh, buttock, and posterior thorax. Herein, we describe the use of the reverse lateral intercostal perforator (LICAP) flap originating from the submammary region as an option for breast reconstruction.
Methods: Fifteen patients (30 breasts) were included in this retrospective review.

Injuries (rupture, avulsion) of the triceps tendon are considered infrequent injuries, which mainly affect the male gender and are directly associated with injuries that occur during sports and in a high percentage due to the consumption of steroids. The diagnosis and treatment must be carried out early, especially in those patients with high functional demand or elite athletes, in order to obtain good functional results. The clinical examination should be accompanied by diagnostic imaging studies.

This is a video demonstration of hemihypoglossal-facial neurorrhaphy. Any irreversible facial palsy more than House-Brackmann grade II is aesthetically problematic. Also, the functional and psychological impact associated with a higher grade of facial palsy is even worse.

Introduction: The phrase "think globally, act locally", which has often been used to refer to conservation of the environment, highlights the importance of maintaining a holistic perspective and stipulates that each individual has a role to play in their community and larger world. Although peripheral nerve surgery has been largely unemphasized in global neurosurgical efforts, a wide disparity in peripheral nerve surgery is presumed to exist between high-income and low- and middle-income countries. Serbia is an upper middle-income country with a long history of peripheral nerve surgery.

Objective: After brachial plexus injuries (BPIs), nerve transfers are used to restore lost muscle function. Brain plasticity underlies the process of regaining volitional control, which encompasses disconnection of the original donor nerve-related programs and reconnection to acceptor nerve programs. To the authors' knowledge, the levels of disconnection and reconnection have never been studied systematically.

Unlabelled: In recent decades, the mastectomy technique has undergone progressive adaptations in order to preserve the integrity of the breast structure and the nipple-areola complex (NAC), allowing reconstruction to be performed immediately after ablation. However, mastectomy flap necrosis or NAC has become a common complication, with an incidence between 2% and 22.3%.
