A rhodamine based chemoprobe BESN was engineered and employed as a selective ''OFF-ON'' chromo-fluorogenic sensor for Al in HO:MeOH (1:9, v:v). Notable changes in the absorption and emission spectra of BESN were clearly detectable upon the addition of Al. Sensitivity and binding mechanism studies demonstrated a good sensing performance of BESN with nanomolar detection limit (130 nM), and it was found to be highly selective towards interfering metal ions.

The aim of this study is to investigate the repair bond strength of composite resin following three different surface treatments (bur-grinding, silanization, and Er,Cr:YSGG laser irradiation) using various universal adhesives. A total of 160 resin composite specimens, produced in cylindrical form (6 × 2 mm) with a nanohybrid composite resin within metal molds, were subjected to 5000 cycles of aging in a thermocycler. The aged samples were categorized into four groups based on surface treatments: control, bur, silane, and Er,Cr:YSGG laser.

This study aims to evaluate the effect of Teethmate, Bifluoride 12, and Copal Varnish on the treatment of dentin hypersensitivity and the pulpal blood flow using laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF) after full crown preparations. Eighteen patients with 42 teeth with dentine hypersensitivity after full crown preparations were randomly treated with Teethmate, Bifluoride 12, and Copal Varnish. Dentine hypersensitivity was measured using a visual analog scale (VAS) and Schiff air index (SAI).

Growing evidence indicates that the parasympathetic system is implicated in migraine headache. However, the cholinergic mechanisms in the pathophysiology of migraine remain unclear. We investigated the effects and mechanisms of cholinergic modulation and a mast cell stabilizer cromolyn in the nitroglycerin-induced in vivo migraine model and in vitro hemiskull preparations in rats.

A simple, versatile, and economical method development with matrix elimination to determine the elements As, Ba, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, V, and Zn in seawater by using the technique of inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry is reported. Real seawater was used as a matrix for the standard adding calibration and other validation parameters. The samples were open digested at 80 °C with 2 mL HNO and 0.

Background: The aim of this study was to identified cyst nematodes in the cabbage production areas in Niğde Province by molecular methods to underpin decision making for field control. The sequences of ribosomal DNA region (rDNA-ITS) and cytochrome oxidase subunit 1 (mtDNA-COI) were used for the first time for identification Heterodera cruciferae (cabbage cyst nematode) in Turkey.

Methods And Results: Heterodera cruciferae populations extracted from cabbage growing areas of Niğde Province and investigated using sequences of rDNA-ITS and mtDNA-COI.

BACKGROUND In this study, we aimed to investigate the effects of N-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate (cyanoacrylate) on the biomechanical and histopathological aspects of tendon healing in a rabbit model of Achilles tendon injury. MATERIAL AND METHODS In total, 36 rabbits were randomized to experimental (cyanoacrylate) and control groups (n=36 tendons in each group). A simple suture was used in the control group and a simple suture plus cyanoacrylate was used in the experimental group.

This study investigated the relationship between chronological age and pulp tooth area ratio (PTR) in maxillary central teeth using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images in the Turkish population. The sample consisted of CBCT images of 120 male and female subjects between 14 and 75 years old. The PTR of the maxillary central teeth was calculated using inVivo 5 software (Anatomage, San Jose, CA).
