This article investigates a non-equilibrium chaotic system in view of commensurate and incommensurate fractional orders and with only one signum function. By varying some values of the fractional-order derivative together with some parameter values of the proposed system, different dynamical behaviors of the system are explored and discussed via several numerical simulations. This system displays complex hidden dynamics such as inversion property, chaotic bursting oscillation, multistabilty, and coexisting attractors.

The novel coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) represents the actual greatest global public health crisis. The lack of efficacious drugs and vaccines against this viral infection created a challenge for scientific researchers in order to find effective solutions. One of the promising therapeutic approaches is the search for bioactive molecules with few side effects that display antiviral properties in natural sources like medicinal plants and vegetables.

A new dimension of learning lessons from the occurrence of hazardous events involving dangerous substances is considered relying on the availability of representative data and the significant evolution of a wide range of machine learning tools. The importance of such a dimension lies in the possibility of predicting the associated nature of damages without imposing any unrealistic simplifications or restrictions. To provide the best possible modeling framework, several implementations are tested using logistic regression, decision trees, neural networks, support vector machine, naive Bayes classifier and random forests to forecast the occurrence of the human, environmental and material consequences of industrial accidents based on the EU Major Accident Reporting System's records.

The stomatin/prohibitin/flotillin/HflK/HflC (SPFH) domain is present in an evolutionarily conserved family of proteins that regulate a myriad of signaling pathways in archaea, bacteria and eukaryotes. The most studied SPFH proteins, prohibitins, have already been targeted by different families of small molecules to induce anticancer, cardioprotective, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antiosteoporotic activities. Ligands of other SPFH proteins have also been identified and shown to act as anesthetics, anti-allodynia, anticancer, and anti-inflammatory agents.

Road traffic plays a vital role in countries' economic growth and future development. However, traffic accidents are considered a major public health issue affecting humankind. Despite efforts by governments to improve traffic safety, the misalignment between the policy efforts and on-ground infringements, distractions and breaches reflect the regulatory failure.

Cadmium (Cd) is a highly toxic heavy metal. It accumulates in biological tissues, especially in fish which constitutes a first rank food for humans, particularly in the coastal areas. This study investigates the effect of long-term exposure to low Cd concentration (17 μg/kg/day) in rat striatum and hippocampus.

Introduction: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is one of the most common nosocomial pathogens, known with a wide resistance to antimicrobials. Carbapenemases producing Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a growing global public health concern as this pathogen is easily transmissible among patients. Metallo-Beta-lactamases is the most important class of these carbapenemases with their broad-spectrum resistance profile.

The work presented here was aimed to investigate the anti-inflammatory and hemostatic activities of extract and to establish the relationship between its bioactivity and chemical composition. Twenty-three secondary metabolites were identified, most of them are good anti-inflammatory agents, in line with data by carrageenin-induced rat paw edema assays of the -butanol extract showing high anti-inflammatory inhibition (63.90%) of edema swelling in the rat paw at the dose 200 mg/kg after 4 h.

Identification schemes based on multivariate polynomials have been receiving attraction in different areas due to the quantum secure property. Identification is one of the most important elements for the IoT to achieve communication between objects, gather and share information with each other. Thus, identification schemes which are post-quantum secure are significant for Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices.

In our ongoing search for new bioactive fungal metabolites, two new cytochalasans were isolated from stromata of the hypoxylaceous ascomycete . Their structures were elucidated via high-resolution mass spectrometry (HR-MS) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Together with 23 additional cytochalasans isolated from ascomata and mycelial cultures of different Ascomycota, they were tested on their ability to disrupt the actin cytoskeleton of mammal cells in a preliminary structure⁻activity relationship study.

Over the last few years, the uses of artificial intelligence techniques (AI) for modeling daily reference evapotranspiration (ET) have become more popular and a considerable amount of models were successfully applied to the problem. Therefore, in the present paper, we propose a new evolving connectionist (ECoS) approaches for modeling daily reference evapotranspiration (ET) in the Mediterranean region of Algeria. Three ECoS models, namely, (i) the off-line dynamic evolving neural-fuzzy inference system called DEFNIS_OF, (ii) the on-line dynamic evolving neural-fuzzy inference system called DEFNIS_ON, and (iii) the evolving fuzzy neural network called (EFuNN), were statistically compared using the root mean square error (RMSE), the mean absolute error (MAE), the coefficient of correlation (R), and the Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency (NSE) indexes.
