Water pollution, oxidative stress and the emergence of multidrug-resistant bacterial strains are significant global threats that require urgent attention to protect human health. Nanocomposites that combine multiple metal oxides with carbon-based materials have garnered significant attention due to their synergistic physicochemical properties and versatile applications in both environmental and biomedical fields. In this context, the present study was aimed at synthesizing a ternary metal-oxide nanocomposite consisting of silver oxide, copper oxide, and zinc oxide (ACZ-NC), along with a multi-walled carbon nanotubes modified ternary metal-oxide nanocomposite (MWCNTs@ACZ-NC).

The identification of significant predictors with higher model performance is the key objective in classification domain. A machine learning-based variable selection technique termed as CARS-Logistic model is proposed by coupling competitive adaptive re-weighted sampling(CARS) and logistic regression for binary classification. Based on five assessment criteria, the proposed method is found to be more efficient than Forward selection logistic regression model.

Environmentally hazardous radioactive isotopes of iodine may be released from a nuclear power plant as a by-product of uranium fission. The efficient and safe capture of volatile radioiodine is of great significance in the history of nuclear power plants. Due to its high volatility and carcinogenic characteristics, elimination of iodine gas (I) from air is the need of the hour from an environmental and health point of view.

This study explores the Ivancevic Option Pricing Model, a nonlinear wave-based alternative to the Black-Scholes model, using adaptive nonlinear Schrödingerr equations to describe the option-pricing wave function influenced by stock price and time. Our focus is on a comprehensive analysis of this equation from multiple perspectives, including the study of soliton dynamics, chaotic patterns, wave structures, Poincaré maps, bifurcation diagrams, multistability, Lyapunov exponents, and an in-depth evaluation of the model's sensitivity. To begin, a wave transformation is applied to convert the partial differential equation into an ordinary differential equation, from which soliton solutions are derived using the [Formula: see text] method.

An integrated approach using geophysical and geospatial techniques was employed to model the surface and subsurface water-bearing strata and assess aquifer vulnerability in the Sehnsa town, Kotli district, State of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. The inadequate scientific studies in the hilly terrain with such complex geological conditions has led to the failure of the boreholes for groundwater extraction. For the evaluation of groundwater potential and subsurface lithology, 30 vertical electrical soundings (VES) stations utilizing the Schlumberger electrode configuration were completed, modeled and analyzed spatially.

The crumpling and buckling in nanosheets are anticipated to provide new characteristics that could not be observed in ideal flat layers. However, the rigid lattice structure of inorganic metal oxides limits their assembly into well-defined crumpled layers. Here, this study demonstrates that at the sub-nm scale, polyoxometalates (POMs) clusters having well-defined structures can intercede during the nucleation process of titania and co-assemble with nuclei to form uniform, large-sized crumpled binary 2D layers with a thickness of 2 nm.

The rapid evolution of power electronics has triggered an intensified focus on thermal management within electronics circuits, stemming from the critical necessity to mitigate thermal-related failure rates. Thermal management in power electronics circuits relies heavily on efficient heat transfer to prevent overheating of components and ensure their reliable operation, optimal performance, and safety. To facilitate the effective heat transfer, a thermal interface material (TIM) is utilized between switching components such as MOSFETs and heat sinks to improve surface contact, which increases heat transfer.

Cotton fabrics with zinc oxide (ZnO) coating are of significant interest due to their excellent antibacterial performance. Thus, they are widely in demand in the textile industry due to their medical and hygienic properties. However, conventional techniques used to deposit ZnO on fabric require long processing times in deposition, complex and expensive equipment, and multiple steps for deposition, such as a separate process for nanoparticle synthesis and subsequent deposition on fabric.

Radical (R) and R-hole site-based interactions are comparatively studied, for the first time, using methods. In this regard, R-bearing molecules XO (where X = Cl, Br, and I) were subjected to direct interaction with NH within dimeric and trimeric forms in the form of NH···XO/XO···NH and NH···XO···NH complexes, respectively. As confirmed by electrostatic potential analysis, the studied R-bearing molecules XO had the outstanding potentiality to interact as Lewis acid centers via two positive sites dubbed as R and R-hole sites.
