Background: Regular cognitive training can boost or maintain cognitive and brain functions known to decline with age. Most studies administered such cognitive training on a computer and in a lab setting. However, everyday life activities, like musical practice or physical exercise that are complex and variable, might be more successful at inducing transfer effects to different cognitive domains and maintaining motivation.

Personalized support and assistance are essential for cancer survivors, given the physical and psychological consequences they have to suffer after all the treatments and conditions associated with this illness. Digital assistive technologies have proved to be effective in enhancing the quality of life of cancer survivors, for instance, through physical exercise monitoring and recommendation or emotional support and prediction. To maximize the efficacy of these techniques, it is challenging to develop accurate models of patient trajectories, which are typically fed with information acquired from retrospective datasets.

Background: Digital health technology is a promising way of supporting health care providers and family caregivers as they care for patients with cognitive impairment.
Objective: This scoping review aimed to portray the use of digital health technology to assist health care providers and family caregivers in caring for patients with cognitive impairment who live in the community or in a facility.
Methods: We conducted a scoping review of peer-reviewed scientific articles available in MEDLINE, PsycINFO, Scopus, and CINAHL with Full Text, as well as gray literature available in preprint servers, theses depositories, and various national and international dementia organizations' websites.
How do organizations in a sector where powerful platforms have emerged cope with the new constraints and opportunities that platforms induce? A growing number of studies highlight the power of digital platforms to re-organize markets and thereby create new forms of dependence. But there are also indications that organizations are capable of countering platform power especially by demanding their regulation. This paper expands this view to investigate also strategies at the organizational level.

Background: The need for effective public health surveillance systems to track virus spread for targeted interventions was highlighted during the COVID-19 pandemic. It spurred an interest in the use of spatiotemporal clustering and genomic analyses to identify high-risk areas and track the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. However, these two approaches are rarely combined in surveillance systems to complement each one's limitations; spatiotemporal clustering approaches usually consider only one source of virus transmission (i.

Introduction: Autistic individuals may require medical imaging but they can face barriers that are related to lack of adjustments in their care. This study aims to explore and understand strategies currently used by Swiss radiographers to image autistic patients and to propose recommendations for clinical practice.
Methods: The Swiss Ethics of the canton of Vaud committee approved the study.

Introduction: The clinical management of severe anxiety is challenging. Along with specific medication, several nonpharmacological treatments exist, among which the Therapeutic Body Wraps (TBW). While TBW is clinically known to be efficient, the absence of objective physiological measurements raised some debates about its harmlessness.

Background: Safe medication management for older adults after hospital discharge requires a well-coordinated, interprofessional, patient-centered approach. This study aimed to describe the perceived needs for collaborative medication management for older adults taking several different medications at home after hospital discharge.
Methods: A qualitative descriptive study was conducted using semi-structured interviews with older adults (n = 28), informal (n = 17), and professional caregivers (n = 13).

Introduction: The prevalence of chronic low back pain (LBP) increases with age and older adults are more vulnerable to develop chronic LBP. A recent Swiss study has shown that 78% of community-dwelling older adults aged ≥65 years experienced chronic LBP. Similarly, a study in Hong Kong found that approximately 30% of people aged above 60 years experienced chronic LBP.

Background: Edible insects have a low ecological footprint and could serve as an alternative dietary iron source. However, chitin, a major component of insects, avidly binds iron and might inhibit iron absorption.
Objectives: We aimed to measure fractional iron absorption (FIA) from Tenebrio molitor-based test meals with and without dechitinization, and to assess the effect of native and low chitin T.

We consider a least-squares/relaxation finite element method for the numerical solution of the prescribed Jacobian equation. We look for its solution via a least-squares approach. We introduce a relaxation algorithm that decouples this least-squares problem into a sequence of local nonlinear problems and variational linear problems.
