Objectives: The aim of this study is a descriptive presentation of cases of acute watery diarrhoea (AWD) that were presented to Aleppo University Hospital (AUH) during the recent cholera outbreak in Syria.
Design: Prospective, observational, cohort study.
Setting And Participants: A total of 1061 patients with AWD were admitted to AUH during the timeframe of 20 September 2022 to 20 October 2022.

Objective: To emphasize the necessity for increased research in this field, incorporating depression into the preventative, diagnostic, and therapeutic considerations for asthma. Additionally, we seek to highlight upcoming advancements that can be applied to simultaneously address these comorbidities, ultimately improving the overall well-being and quality of life for individuals coping with these conditions.
Methods: A rigorous search in PubMed using the MeSH terms "asthma" and "depression" was performed, and papers were screened by the authors in view of their eligibility to contribute to the study.
Congenital malformations of the thumb greatly affect the performance of the hand and the upper limb. The conditions associated with atrophic thumb represent a wide spectrum of abnormalities, ranging from a complete absence to a mere small size of the thumb. A 5-year-old Caucasian female presented with congenital clasped thumb deformity with hypoplastic thumb and with an absence of extrinsic extensors extensor pollicis longus and brevis and with stable carpometacarpal joint.
