Sarcopenia with decreased total psoas muscle area in children with high-risk neuroblastoma.

Background: We calculated psoas muscle area (PMA) z-scores in high-risk neuroblastoma patients undergoing treatment to examine the clinical significance of sarcopenia in this cohort.

Methods: We analyzed retrospective data from patients aged 0-18 who were diagnosed with abdominal neuroblastoma between 2005 and 2019 at Samsung Medical Center. Patients categorized as high-risk undergone induction chemotherapy, neuroblastoma excision, and tandem high-dose chemotherapy with autologous stem cell transplantation (HDCT/auto-SCT) were selected.

Evaluation of Camera Recognition Performance under Blockage Using Virtual Test Drive Toolchain.

This study is the first to develop technology to evaluate the object recognition performance of camera sensors, which are increasingly important in autonomous vehicles owing to their relatively low price, and to verify the efficiency of camera recognition algorithms in obstruction situations. To this end, the concentration and color of the blockage and the type and color of the object were set as major factors, with their effects on camera recognition performance analyzed using a camera simulator based on a virtual test drive toolkit. The results show that the blockage concentration has the largest impact on object recognition, followed in order by the object type, blockage color, and object color.

Experimental Analysis of Various Blockage Performance for LiDAR Sensor Cleaning Evaluation.

Autonomous driving includes recognition, judgment, and control technologies, and is implemented using sensors such as cameras, LiDAR, and radar. However, recognition sensors are exposed to the outside environment and their performance may deteriorate because of the presence of substances that interfere with vision, such as dust, bird droppings, and insects, during operation. Research on sensor cleaning technology to solve this performance degradation has been limited.

Objective: Recombinant human growth hormone (GH) can achieve final adult height gain in girls with Turner syndrome (TS), but its efficacy varies widely across individuals. The exon 3-deleted polymorphism of growth hormone receptor (d3-GHR) has been reported to be associated with responsiveness to GH therapy. The short-term growth response of Turner patients to GH therapy was analysed according to their GHR-exon 3 polymorphism genotype.

The effect of cognitive-behavioral group therapy on the self-esteem, depression, and self-efficacy of runaway adolescents in a shelter in South Korea.

This study examined the effects of cognitive-behavioral group therapy (CBT) on the self-esteem, depression, and self-efficacy of runaway adolescents residing in a shelter in Seoul, South Korea. The study used a control group pretest-posttest design. The experimental group and the control group consisted of 14 and 13 male subjects, respectively, with subjects having been randomly assigned to these groups.

A longitudinal study on the development of moral judgement in Korean nursing students.

This longitudinal study examined the development of moral judgement in 37 nursin students attending a university in Suwon, Korea. The participants completed the Korean version of the Defining Issues Test to allow analysis of their level of moral judgement. The development of moral judgement was quantified using 'the moral development score' at each stage (i.
