Psychometric properties of an arabic translation of the short boredom proneness scale (SBPS) in adults.

Background: The Short Boredom Proneness Scale (SBPS) is a common tool for assessing individuals' inclination toward Boredom. The Arabic version of the SBPS has not been validated despite the language being spoken by over 420 million people worldwide. Therefore, this study aims to translate the SBPS into Arabic and prove its psychometric properties on a sample of Arabic-speaking adults from Lebanon.

The Impact of a Music- and Movement-Based Intervention on Motor Competence, Social Engagement, and Behavior in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Background/objectives: The main objective of this manuscript is to evaluate the effects of training, music, and movement intervention on motor functions, social engagement, and behaviors in autistic children.

Methods: Twenty-one children with a diagnosis of mild autism spectrum disorder (ASD), with an age range of 5-to-13 years, were divided into two groups: the experimental group ( = 10) and the control group ( = 11). All participants were examined before (T0) and after the intervention (T1) to evaluate their motor functions (Bruininks-Oseretsky Motor Performance Test (BOT-2)), maladaptive behavior (RCS (Response to Challenge Scale)), and enjoyment and engagement (PACES (Physical Activity Enjoyment Scale)).

Objectives: There is a lack of studies that investigate the relationship between anthropometric profiles, biological maturity, and specific physical performances in young male basketball players. More injury stoppage time in women compared to men in elite level football tournaments: Retrospective comparison of match injuries in 2018 FIFA Men's World Cup and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.

To identify the incidence of injury time-out due to field injuries in highest level professional football (soccer) international tournaments and to compare the features of these incidents between men's and women's football. The incidence of stoppage time due to incidents and the resulting injury characteristics of professional football players participating in the 2018 FIFA Men's World Cup (MWC) in Russia and the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup (WWC) in France were examined retrospectively through video analysis. In the 2018 MWC, a total of 123 injury time-outs with 132 treatments occurred in 64 matches, while in the 2019 WWC, 142 incidents with 150 injured players were recorded in 52 matches.
