In line with the spirit of the Giens workshops, this article reports on the recommended evolution of the Ethics Committees (CPPs) and the Committees for Research Ethics (CER) in France. These committees play a crucial role in the ethical evaluation of clinical research projects, a process that has become more complex, particularly in view of recent legislative, regulatory and methodological developments. This reflection highlights the current challenges faced by the CPPs, including the increasing workload, the complexity of the issues to be addressed and the need for better use of their resources.

In March 2020, World Health Organization recognized severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) emergence as a public health emergency of international concern. One of the major preventative measures developed against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was vaccines. To monitor their use and safety of vaccines from the first utilization in humans during clinical development phases to implementation for the general population, an enhanced national pharmacovigilance system was enabled by the French National Agency for Medicines and Health Products Safety in collaboration with the 30 Regional Pharmacovigilance Centres.

Real-world efficacy of the dabrafenib-trametinib (D-T) combination in BRAF V600E-mutated metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC): Results from the IFCT-2004 BLaDE cohort.

Sleep medicine and internal medicine share a global and transdisciplinary vision of human physiology and illnesses, with an approach guided by the complaint and semiology. In France, approximately 13 to 18 million individuals suffer from a sleep disorder: these disorders therefore represent a public health problem. Their comorbidities with systemic autoimmune diseases are frequent.

Exploring and describing alcohol harm reduction interventions: a scoping review of literature from the past decade in the western world.

Context: Regular alcohol use is a predominant risk factor for disease, injury, and social harm. While robust evidence is advocating for implementing interventions to reduce the harms of illegal substance use, less literature is dedicated to identifying and understanding interventions aiming at reducing the various harms associated with alcohol.

Objectives: This review describes how alcohol harm reduction (AHR) interventions are currently conducted and analyzes the facilitators and barriers identified by the studies on their efficacy.

Purpose: The generation of representative disease phenotypes is important for ensuring the reliability of the findings of observational studies. The aim of this manuscript is to outline a reproducible framework for reliable and traceable phenotype generation based on real world data for use in the Data Analysis and Real-World Interrogation Network (DARWIN EU). Oncocytic adenocarcinoma (OC) of the salivary glands is a rare and controversial entity. It was recently reclassified as "salivary carcinoma NOS and emerging entities" in the 2022 WHO classification of head and neck tumors. The lack of specific molecular alterations and its potential affiliation with other salivary gland carcinomas, such as the oncocytic mucoepidermoid carcinomas (OMEC) or the oncocytic subtype of salivary duct carcinomas (OSDC) justified this reclassification.
