Background: The diagnostic accuracy of FDG-PET/CT for the detection of axillary lymph node metastases in breast cancer patients acquired 60 min after FDG administration is reported to be only moderate, especially due to low sensitivity.
Purpose: To test whether a delayed scan 90 min after FDG administration could enhance the diagnostic accuracy of FDG-PET/CT for the detection of axillary lymph node metastases.
Material And Methods: Thirty-eight women suffering from primary breast cancer (mean age 52 years; range 25-78 years; standard deviation 14 years) underwent a pre-therapeutic dual-time-point FDG-PET/CT scan.

Purpose: To assess the survival time of patients with HCC following transarterial chemoembolization performed in a highly selective and sequential way.
Patients And Methods: 124 HCC patients (102 male, 22 female; mean age 63±11 years) treated with selective and sequential chemoembolization at a single center were included. Selective chemoembolization was performed through a coaxially introduced microcatheter in a segmental or subsegmental hepatic artery.

Aim: The aim of this study was to compare the diagnostic accuracy of fully diagnostic, contrast-enhanced whole-body FDG-PET/CT and whole-body MRI for detection of bone metastases in patients suffering from newly diagnosed non-small cell lung cancer and malignant melanoma.

Focal gastrointestinal 2-deoxy-2-[(18)F]-fluoro-D: -glucose (FDG) uptake can frequently be found on FDG-PET/CT even in patients without known gastrointestinal malignancy. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether increased gastrointestinal FDG uptake without CT correlate is an early indicator of patients developing gastrointestinal malignancies. Unlabelled: Radioembolization with (90)Y microspheres is a novel treatment for hepatic tumors. Generally, hepatic arteriography and (99m)Tc-macroaggregated albumin (MAA) scanning are performed before selective internal radiation therapy to detect extrahepatic shunting to the lung or the gastrointestinal tract. Whereas previous studies have used only planar or SPECT scans, the present study used (99m)Tc-MAA SPECT/CT scintigraphy (SPECT with integrated low-dose CT) to evaluate whether SPECT/CT and additional diagnostic contrast-enhanced CT before radioembolization with (90)Y microspheres are superior to SPECT or planar imaging alone for detection of gastrointestinal shunting.

The prognosis of patients with adrenal metastases from hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has been poor, and aggressive treatment of these tumors is mandatory to improve patients' survival. Since adrenalectomy may be difficult to perform after previous surgery of the right liver lobe, other approaches are required to treat the adrenal mass. This report aims at demonstrating the feasibility of CT-guided transhepatic radiofrequency ablation of right adrenal HCC metastases pretreated with chemoembolization in patients unable to undergo surgical resection.
