Estrogens are in the list of carcinogenic chemicals from the World Health Organization (WHO). However, estrogens require additional factors such as stromal factors or progestogens to increase the ratio of proliferation/apoptosis for initiation of replication errors and consequent mutations to occur. These mutations require at least 5-10 years to develop into clinically detectable cancer, whereby this review is focused on breast cancer.

Both congenital diaphragmatic hernias (CDHs) and omphaloceles show relevant overall mortality rates as individual findings. The combination of the two has been described only sparsely in the literature and almost always with a fatal course. Here, we describe a term neonate with a rare high-risk constellation of left-sided CDH and a large omphalocele who was successfully treated on extracorporeal life support (ECLS).

Introduction And Hypothesis: We have previously published the novel method of unilateral pectineal suspension (UPS) for apical prolapse correction. UPS provides mesh-free midline uterus suspension using a single non-absorbable suture to attach the anterior cervix to the lateral part of the iliopectineal ligament. The purpose of this retrospective cohort study was to analyze the short-term efficacy, perioperative complication rate, and overall patient acceptance of the new UPS surgical concept.

Menopause is not only the end of reproductive life, it is also related to diseases such as hyperlipidaemia, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis and breast cancer. Traditional epidemiological studies have found that heredity is the main determinant of age at natural menopause (ANM). Early studies on genetic factors were limited to candidate gene studies.

Research Question: Does antioestrogen effect of clomiphene citrate (CC) on the endometrium reduce implantation and thereby decrease pregnancy and live birth rate per transferred embryo?
Methods: In this cohort, unstimulated IVF cycles modified with clomiphene citrate (CC-NC-IVF) and unstimulated, natural IVF cycles (NC-IVF) conducted between 2011 and 2016 were included. CC was applied in a dosage of 25mcg per day, starting on cycle day 7 until ovulation trigger day. Primary outcomes were clinical pregnancy rate, defined as amniotic sac visible in ultrasound, and live birth rate per transferred embryo.

Purpose: To limit the burden of long-term immunosuppression (IS) after uterus transplantation (UTx), removal of the uterine allograft is indicated after maximum two pregnancies. Hitherto this has required graft hysterectomy by laparotomy. Our objective was to demonstrate, as a proof of concept, the feasibility of less traumatic transplantectomy by total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH).

Objective: Frozen-thawed embryo transfers (FET) are a key component of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) and various cycle regimens are used worldwide because of insufficient evidence to favour particular transfer schedules. In this study, we investigated the associations between different cycle regimens and early pregnancy complications as well as live birth rates (LBR) per pregnancy after FET.
Study Design: We conducted a retrospective cohort study analysing a total of 7342 pregnancies after FET registered in the Swiss IVF Registry from 2014 to 2019.

The practice of ovarian stimulation for IVF is undergoing a fundamental re-evaluation as recent data begin to successfully challenge the traditional paradigm that ovarian stimulation should be aimed at the retrieval of as many oocytes as possible, in the belief that this will increase pregnancy rates. An opposing view is that live birth rate should not be the only end-point in evaluating the success of IVF treatment and that equal emphasis should be placed on safety and affordability. The International Society for Mild Approaches in Assisted Reproduction (ISMAAR) committee has carried out an up-to-date literature search, with the evidence being graded according to the University of Oxford's Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine.

Background: The massive loss of follicles in the early stage of ovarian tissue transplantation is considered a significant restriction to the efficacy of ovarian tissue cryopreservation (OTC) and transplantation (OT). The use of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) before transplantation of ovarian fragments shortened the hypoxic period and boosted neovascularization. Hypoxia-preconditioned MSCs can enhance the potential of angiogenesis.

The prevalence of breast cancer currently ranks first among Chinese women with malignant tumors, occurring during premenopausal childbearing age in more than 60% of patients. With the increasing age of women at childbirth, the wide application of assisted reproductive technology (ART) and the rejuvenation of tumor patients, the prevalence of breast cancer occurring during pregnancy (PrBC) is gradually increasing. There are many domestic and foreign expert consensus articles and guidelines on fertility preservation for children and patients of childbearing age with malignant tumors, but there is a lack of expert consensus or guidelines on fertility preservation for patients with PrBC.
