In addition to glycemic control, GLP-1 receptor agonists have beneficial other effects. They act by binding to GLP-1 receptors, which are widely distributed in the body, including cardiomyocytes and blood vessels.

Attitudes toward COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) prevention and control may have influenced general practitioners' (GPs') work during the COVID-19 pandemic. The present study aimed to investigate the attitudes and practices of GPs from Croatia and Bosna and Herzegovina regarding COVID-19 prevention and control as well as the factors which may have influenced them. A cross-sectional study using a self-administered, anonymous questionnaire was conducted between February and May of 2022 on 200 Croatian and Bosnian GPs.

Background: The goal of this study was to determine the frequency and predictive factors of partial (PCI) and total clinical inertia (TCI) of general physicians (GPs) in Central Bosnia Canton in the care of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients.
Material And Methods: A longitudinal study was conducted with a prospective data collection. Total of 541 subjects of over 40 years of age with type 2 diabetes mellitus of both genders were included in the study.

BACKGROUND The goal of this research was to determine the frequency of clinical inertia of general practice physicians in the region of Central Bosnia in healthcare for type 2 diabetes patients, to analyze characteristics of patients and physicians, as well as glucose regulation during clinical inertia, and, on the basis of these indicators, give recommendations for reducing clinical inertia. MATERIAL AND METHODS This study included 29 doctors, family physicians, or general practitioners, who collected data in a total sample of 541 type 2 diabetes mellitus patients from July to November 2017. The research was conducted using 2 questionnaires.

Aim: To investigate molecular epidemiology of extended-spectrum β-lactamase/ESBL and plasmid-mediated AmpC β-lactamase/pAmpC producing Gram-negative bacteria causing urinary tract infections (UTIs) in Zenica-Doboj Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the period Decembar 2009-May 2010.
Methods: Antibiotic susceptibility was determined by disc diffusion and broth microdilution according to CLSI guidelines. Double-disk synergy test was performed in order to screen for ESBLs/pAmpC beta-lactamases.

Aim: To investigate the iMLSB prevalence in 142 methicillin-sensitive (MSSA) and 48 methicillin-resistant (MRSA) in-patient (65), outpatient (75), and healthy carrier (150) Staphylococcus aureus isolates in Zenica-Doboj Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Methods: Disk diffusion testing by placing clindamycin (CLI) and erythromycin (ERY) disks 15 mm apart (edge to edge) on a Mueller-Hinton agar, as per CLSI guideline was performed. Two distinct induction phenotypes labelled as D and D+, and three noninduction phenotypes designated as Neg, R (constitutive, cMLSB), and S (susceptible).
