This study investigates the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis on environmental governance decisions within publicly listed European companies. It utilizes a comprehensive analysis of publicly available data regarding these firms and check the environmental governance practices during the pandemic, informed by risk society theory which describes modern societies marked by ongoing risks and uncertainties primarily stemming from technological and scientific advancements. Green investment, institutional quality, and environmental performance: evidence from G-7 countries using panel NARDL approach.

The foremost purpose of the study is to establish a point that an economy of G-7 countries has an abundance of resources to tackle the environmental changes that occur in the world, but these countries are still behind the line because in this modern era, environmental performance changes their shape, dimension, and nature very frequently and create a huge impact on globalization of world economy. To fill this gap, we use green investment, institutional quality, and economic growth on environmental performance for this, we use four proxies for green investment and three proxies for greenhouse gas, and we also use six proxies of institutional quality to do this using period of 1997 to 2021. Moreover, we have used the panel nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag method to evaluate the long-run and short-run asymmetric effects of green investment, institutional quality, and economic growth on greenhouse gas emissions.

Is Islamic FinTech coherent with Islamic banking? A stakeholder's perspective during COVID-19.

The prime purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of Islamic fintech in the Islamic banking sector through a stakeholder approach in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through self-administered questionnaires, the study collected the data of 1000 respondents for seven categories of stakeholders directly or indirectly associated with Islamic banking and Islamic finance in Pakistan. The stakeholders include the local community, customers, managers of Islamic banks, depositors, employees, regulatory officials, and advisers of Sharia (Islamic Law).

The Role of Personality and Top Management Support in Continuance Intention to Use Electronic Health Record Systems among Nurses.

This study examines nurses' Continuance Intention (CI) to use electronic health records (EHRs) through a combination of three conceptual frameworks: the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), the theory of expectation-confirmation (ECT), and the Five-Factor Model (FFM). A model is developed to examine and predict the determinants of nurses' CI to use EHRs, including top management support (TMS) and the FFM's five personality domains. Data were collected from a survey of 497 nurses, which were analyzed using partial least squares.

The asymmetric effect of oil price, news-based uncertainty, and COVID-19 pandemic on equity market.

Equity markets are prone to several external factors, especially in the lethal pandemic situation when the uncertainty regarding the spread of the COVID disrupts the daily financial and economic activities along with the sharp decline in the oil price causing severe devastations to people not just in terms of life and health but also in the form of finance. Therefore, to assess the presence of empirical association of the oil price, Covid-19, and news-based uncertainty with the equity market condition, the method of QARDL was applied in the current investigation. The results revealed that the relationship of OIL was found to be positive and significant across all of the quantiles of the Stock Price Index (SPI); news-based uncertainty was found to be negative and significant across all of the quantiles of SPI, whereas COVID19 has the negative and significant impact on SPI only in the bearish and stable market conditions.

The potency of eco-innovation, natural resource and financial development on ecological footprint: a quantile-ARDL-based evidence from China.

Given the alarming deterioration of the environment, the present analysis investigates the role of eco-innovation, natural resources and financial development in influencing the environmental degradation of China. Applying the novel method of quantile ARDL, the current research is beneficial in portraying the dependence patterns of the variables with special emphasis on the nexus of eco-innovation and ecological footprint across numerous quantiles of the distribution which has not been examined so far in the literature. The empirical findings reveal that in the long run, eco-innovation reduces the level of ecological deterioration in China across all quantiles.

The purpose of this study is to analyze early age malnutrition on a gender basis in Pakistan. Pakistan Demographic and Health Survey (PDHS) 2012-2013 data related to households' characteristics that affect the nutrition of children less than 5 years of age are used for the estimation of results. Gender disparity (measured by girl malnourished in household/boy malnourished in a household) is constructed for the measurement of gender disparity in early age child nutrition.

Food insecurity is one of the rising problems in Bangladesh, and it is severely prevalent among informal migrant workers. In this case, the COVID-19 pandemic has multiplied the food insecurity of informal migrant workers. This study explores and synthesizes the COVID-19 induced food insecurity impact among informal migrants and recommends policy actions to tackle the COVID-19 led food crisis in Bangladesh.

This study deals with the preparation of activated carbon (CDSP) from date seed powder (DSP) by chemical activation to eliminate polyaromatic hydrocarbon-PAHs (naphthalene-CH) from synthetic wastewater. The chemical activation process was carried out using a weak Lewis acid of zinc acetate dihydrate salt (Zn(CHCO)·2HO). The equilibrium isotherm and kinetics analysis was carried out using DSP and CDSP samples, and their performances were compared for the removal of a volatile organic compound-naphthalene (CH)-from synthetic aqueous effluents or wastewater.

Data were collected with a survey of 372 front-line employees of hotels and analyzed with PLS-SEM.
