In the glycerolysis process for diacylglycerol (DAG) preparation, free lipases suffer from poor stability and the inability to be reused. To address this, a cost-effective immobilized lipase preparation was developed by cross-linking macroporous resin with poly (ethylene glycol) diglycidyl ether (PEGDGE) followed by lipase adsorption. The selected immobilization conditions were identified as pH 7.

The integrity of the genetic material in human cells is continuously challenged by environmental agents and endogenous stresses. Among these, environmental carcinogens are pivotal in initiating complex DNA lesions that can lead to malignant transformations if not properly repaired. This review synthesizes current knowledge on the molecular dynamics of DNA repair mechanisms and their interplay with various environmental carcinogens, providing a comprehensive overview of how these interactions contribute to cancer initiation and progression.

Water contamination poses a significant challenge to environmental and public health, necessitating sustainable wastewater treatment solutions. Adsorption is one of the most widely used techniques for purifying water, as it effectively removes contaminants by transferring them from the liquid phase to a solid surface. Bio-based hydrogel adsorbents are gaining popularity in wastewater treatment due to their versatility in fabrication and modification methods, which include blending, grafting, and crosslinking.

Introduction: Breast imaging plays a crucial role in the early detection and management of breast cancer, with visual quality, modality innovation and diagnostic performance being key factors in achieving accurate diagnoses and optimal patient outcomes. This paper presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the literature on the three above elements focusing on breast imaging, aiming to uncover publication trends, identify influential works and authors, and highlight future research directions.
Methods: We employed a methodical bibliometric approach, making use of Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) databases for gathering literatures.

Elevated stress levels are related to diminished mental health, potentially leading to decreased well-being and performance of nursing students. While researchers have focused on developing stress management interventions, there is a need to synthesize the evidence. A systematic review with meta-analysis was conducted to assess the evidence for the effectiveness of stress management interventions in nursing students.

Recently, global interest in organizing the functioning of renewable energy resources (RES) through microgrids (MG) has developed, as a unique approach to tackle technical, economic, and environmental difficulties. This study proposes implementing a developed Distributable Resource Management strategy (DRMS) in hybrid Microgrid systems to reduce total net percent cost (TNPC), energy loss (Ploss), and gas emissions (GEM) while taking the cost-benefit index (CBI) and loss of power supply probability (LPSP) as operational constraints. Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) was utilized to find the optimal size of the hybrid Microgrid components and calculate the multi-objective function with and without the proposed management method.

The high-intensity demands of overhead sports exert significant stress on the bilateral shoulder complex, triggering adaptive kinematics and a distinct strength imbalance between internal and external rotators. The imbalance being referred to in the given statement poses a potential risk for humeral head displacement and puts nearby tendons under tension, heightening the vulnerability to injury. This study aims to assess muscle imbalances in badminton athletes.

Individuals with lower extremity injuries and back pain may exhibit weakness and stiffness in important muscles such as the gluteus maximus and external hip rotators. To aid clinicians in understanding the impact of exercises on factors like stability, endurance, and strength, electromyography (EMG) examination can be employed to monitor muscle activation. In this investigation, the EMG activity of the gluteus maximus and medius were compared between two exercises: the turn-out bent knee pulse and the single-leg banded glute bridge.

Since light fidelity (LiFi) and wireless fidelity (WiFi) do not interfere with one another, a LiFi/WiFi hybrid network may provide superior performance to existing wireless options. With many users and constant changes, a network can easily become overloaded, leading to slowdowns and fluctuations in data transfer speeds. Access point assignment (APA) is required with the increase of users, which can negatively impact the system performance and quality-of-service (QoS) due to mobility and line-of-sight (LOS) blockage.

Background: Functional gastrointestinal diseases (FGIDs) are an important yet highly under explored area among public health issues. FGIDs' complex etiology makes them of interest along with their prevalence in children steadily increasing, especially in the developing world. We aimed to determine the burden FGIDs pose on school-going children, and to determine its association with the dietary intake patterns in Pakistani children.
