Our understanding of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) molecular biology has been radically transformed over recent years due to the advent and the spreading of the new generation sequencing approaches. These advances offer new insights about genetic predisposition to HL in children and are currently being translated into promising and more selective drugs (brentuximab and checkpoint inhibitors) offering the perspective to reduce treatment-related toxicity. Thus, as more than 90% of pediatric patients are cured after the first line treatment, a major emphasis is placed on survivorship by reducing treatment intensity, in particular, the use of radiotherapy and chemotherapy associated with long-term toxicities.

Context: Although type 2 diabetes (T2D) is a risk factor for liver fibrosis in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), the specific contribution of insulin resistance (IR) relative to other factors is unknown.

Objective: Assess the impact on liver fibrosis in NAFLD of adipose tissue (adipose tissue insulin resistance index [adipo-IR]) and liver (Homeostatic Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance [HOMA-IR]) IR in people with T2D and NAFLD.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is an increasingly prevalent disease that is associated with multiple metabolic disturbances, yet the metabolic pathways underlying its progression are poorly understood. Here, we studied metabolic pathways of the human liver across the full histological spectrum of NAFLD. We analyzed whole liver tissue transcriptomics and serum metabolomics data obtained from a large, prospectively enrolled cohort of 206 histologically characterized patients derived from the European NAFLD Registry and developed genome-scale metabolic models (GEMs) of human hepatocytes at different stages of NAFLD.

To describe the frequency and nature of premedication practices for neonatal tracheal intubation (TI) in 2011; to identify independent risk factors for the absence of premedication; to compare data with those from 2005 and to confront observed practices with current recommendations. Introduction: Eculizumab, the first anti-C5 monoclonal antibody approved for patients with paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), has revolutionized the natural history of this disease, blocking intravascular hemolysis, reducing the risk of thromboembolic events, resulting in a significant improvement in survival and quality of life. However, the hematological response to eculizumab is extremely heterogeneous, with only one-third of PNH patients reaching normal hemoglobin levels.
