Pregnancy induces a cascade of hemodynamic changes that are likely to affect the maternal systemic and ocular circulation. The current study aimed to investigate retinal microvasculature alterations in women with preterm and full-term pregnancy using optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A). This was a cross-sectional, comparative, single-center study.

Ocular hypertension (OH) is a condition characterized by elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) exceeding the normal range, without any evident damage to the optic nerve or visual field defects characteristic of glaucoma. It constitutes a significant precursor to the development of glaucoma, a leading cause of irreversible vision loss worldwide. Emerging evidence has shown that microcirculation alterations in eyes with OH could serve as predicting factors to identify eyes at high risk for progression to glaucoma.

Purpose: Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is one of the main causes of blindness and visual impairment worldwide. As achieving a dry macula is one of the main objectives in AMD management, the purpose of this work was to reach a consensus on the relevance of retinal fluid in function, disease activity control and treatment patterns.
Methods: Forty-seven Portuguese ophthalmologists specialized in AMD participated in a DELPHI panel.

Purpose: To provide a spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT)-based analysis of retinal layers thickness and nasal displacement of closed macular hole after internal limiting membrane peeling in macular hole surgery.
Methods: In this nonrandomized prospective interventional study, 36 eyes of 32 patients were subjected to pars plana vitrectomy and 3.5 mm diameter internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling for idiopathic macular hole (IMH).

Introduction: Corneal thinning disorders caused by keratoconus often lead to protrusion, irregular astigmatism, and even perforation. Keratoconus, like other corneal ectasia, does not have a known cause. Severe cases of keratoconus may require correction or restoration of tectonic integrity of the cornea by surgical means.

We present a case of a 41-year-old female patient with progressive bilateral visual loss. On examination, her best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) in her right eye was 3/10 and her BCVA in her left eye was 2/10. Fundus and optical coherence tomography examination revealed severe bilateral macular edema.
