Fermented foods of the Indian Himalaya are unexplored functional resources with high nutritional potential. Chhurpi cheese, fermented by defined native proteolytic lactic acid bacteria of Sikkim was assessed for ACE inhibitory, HOCl reducing, and MPO inhibitory, activity across varying stages of gastrointestinal (GI) digestion. The enhanced bioactivity of Lactobacillus delbrueckii WS4 chhurpi was associated with the generation of bioactive and multifunctional peptides during fermentation and GI digestion.

This study investigates the spatio-temporal distribution of formaldehyde (HCHO) over the mainland Southeast Asian region (including Northeast India) from 2019 to 2022 using TROPOMI satellite data. In investigating Leishmania donovani SET29, we found depletion of LdSET29 by two-thirds did not affect promastigote growth, nor alter the parasite's response to UV-induced or HU-induced stress, but made it more tolerant to HO-induced oxidizing environment. The analysis of Raman and Infrared (IR) phonons in monolayered tetragonal (Sr, Ba)HfO compounds, which exhibit D symmetry and belong to the I4/mmm phase of space group 139 with Z = 2, has been conducted using normal coordinates. Methods: Utilizing data from 62,899 individuals in LASI wave-1 (2017-18), the assessment of possible sarcopenia was done on two critical parameters: muscle (handgrip) strength and physical performance (gait speed), following the 2019 guidelines from the Asian working group on sarcopenia (AWGS).
