The purpose of this study was to evaluate the vitamin D status and determine the factors influencing it in the Drâa-Tafilalet community (southeastern Morocco). Sociodemographic factors, health, cognitive status, sun exposure, and nutritional conditions were examined to help us understand their association with vitamin D status. Vitamin D data were gathered through laboratory testing, while demographic and health information was collected through interviews with participants in 2023.

In this study, 1,5-diallyl-1H-pyrazolo [3,4-d] pyrimidin-4 (5H)-one (PPD) was evaluated as an anticorrosion agent for mild steel (MS) in 1 M HCl. The analysis was performed by weight loss (WL), potentiodynamic polarization measurement, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The Tafel polarization showed that PPD is a mixed-type inhibitor and reaches 94% of the protective efficiency at 10 M.

Anticorrosive protection efficiency of novel tetrafunctional epoxy prepolymer, namely 2,3,4,5-tetraglycidyloxy pentanal (TGP), for mild steel in 1 M HCl medium was assessed through potentiodynamic polarization (PDP), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), contact angle (CA), adsorption isotherm model, temperature effect and thermodynamic parameters. The synthesized TGP was characterized and confirmed by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). The inhibitory efficiencies found at lower concentration of the prepolymer TGP were85% (PDP) and 87.

Essential oils (EOs) are chemical products produced by odoriferous glands from a variety of plants. These essential oils have many health benefits: antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activities. So due to these medicinal properties, the present study was designed to analyze essential oils of L.

In the present study, the potential of sugarcane bagasse (SCB) was evaluated by methylene blue (MB) retention. The selected low-cost adsorbent was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), BET method, and determination of the point of zero charge (pHzpc). Batch kinetic and isothermal studies were performed to examine the effects of contact time, initial dye concentration, adsorbent dose, pH, and temperature.

In this paper, we present a data article that describes a dataset of nine 2D geometric shapes, and each shape is drawn randomly on a 200 × 200 RGB image. During the generation of this dataset, the perimeter and the position of each shape are selected randomly and independently for each image. The rotation angle of each shape is chosen randomly for each image within an interval between -180° and 180°, as well as the background colour of each image and the filling colour of each shape are selected randomly and independently.

Oncogenic Kirsten RAt Sarcoma (KRAS) mutations are attractive targets in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Thus, the objective of this work is to discover promising inhibitors that target this protein using methods that have become increasingly cost-effective in research and development of drugs. In this study, 24 triterpenoid saponins were selected for designing the potent inhibitors using different methods: quantitative structure activity relationships (QSAR) analysis, homology modeling, as well as molecular docking, molecular dynamics (MD) simulation and Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion and Toxicity (ADMET) screening.
