Old Yellow Enzymes (OYEs) are flavin-containing ene-reductases that have been intensely studied with regard to their biotechnological potential for sustainable chemical syntheses. OYE-encoding genes are found throughout the domains of life, but their physiological role is mostly unknown, one reason for this being the promiscuity of most ene-reductases studied to date. The unicellular green alga possesses four genes coding for OYEs, three of which we have analyzed biochemically before.

Myocarditis is defined as inflammation of the myocardium according to clinical, histological, biochemical, immunohistochemical, or imaging findings. Inflammation can be categorized histologically by cell type or pattern, and many causes have been implicated, including infectious, most commonly viral, systemic autoimmune diseases, vaccine-associated processes, environmental factors, toxins, and hypersensitivity to drugs. Sarcoid myocarditis is increasingly recognized as an important cause of cardiomyopathy and has important diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic implications in patients with systemic sarcoidosis.

Background: Only about half the people with depression seek professional health care services. To constitute the different predictors and associating variables of health care utilisation, we model the process and aim to test our hypothesised Seeking Mental Health Care Model. The model includes empirical influences on the help-seeking process to predict actual behaviour and incorporates superordinate (stigma, treatment experiences) as well as intermediate attitudinal variables (continuum and causal beliefs, depression literacy and self-efficacy).

Previous findings in healthy humans suggest that selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) modulate emotional processing earlier changes in attention. However, many previous studies have provided inconsistent findings. One possible reason for such inconsistencies is that these studies did not control for the influence of either sex or sex hormone fluctuations.
