Vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) is an effective neuromodulatory treatment for patients with drug resistant epilepsy who cannot undergo curative surgical resection. Safety information states that the use of radiofrequency ablation devices may damage the VNS generator and leads. However, documented cases are scarce.

Background And Objectives: Previous studies suggested that autoimmune limbic encephalitis with antibodies against contactin-associated protein-like 2 (CASPR2-encephalitis) is clinically heterogeneous and progresses slowly, preventing its early recognition. We aimed to describe the onset and progression of CASPR2-encephalitis and to assess long-term outcomes.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the medical records of all patients whose CSF tested positive for anti-CASPR2 antibodies in our center between 2006 and 2020.

Objective: To assess the relation between coffee consumption and seizure frequency in patients with drug-resistant focal epilepsy.
Methods: Cross-sectional analysis of data collected in the SAVE study, which included patients with drug-resistant focal epilepsy during long-term EEG monitoring. Patients in whom both coffee consumption and data about seizure frequency, including focal to bilateral tonic-clonic seizures (FBTCS), were available were selected.
Musicogenic epilepsy with ictal asystole: a video-EEG case report.

Musicogenic seizures and ictal asystole are two rare features mainly encountered in temporal lobe epilepsy. We present the first case of musicogenic epilepsy with ictal asystole in a patient with right temporal lobe epilepsy, confirmed by video-EEG. The pathophysiological mechanism of both conditions remains uncertain.
