Background: Approximately 50% of intensive care survivors experience persistent psychological symptoms. Eye-movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) is a widely recommended trauma-focussed psychological therapy, which has not been investigated systematically in a cohort of intensive care survivors: We therefore conducted a randomised pilot feasibility study of EMDR, using the Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol (R-TEP), to prevent psychological distress in intensive care survivors. Findings will determine whether it would be possible to conduct a fully-powered clinical effectiveness trial and inform trial design.

Longitudinal modeling of current wheezing identified similar phenotypes, but their characteristics often differ between studies. We propose that a more comprehensive description of wheeze may better describe trajectories than binary information on the presence/absence of wheezing. We derived six multidimensional variables of wheezing spells from birth to adolescence (including duration, temporal sequencing, and the extent of persistence/recurrence).

Importance: Longer-term outcomes and risk factors associated with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD) are not well established.
Objective: To investigate longer-term risk of relapse and factors associated with this risk among patients with MOGAD.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This large, single-nation, prospective cohort study was conducted among 276 patients with MOGAD at 5 health care centers in the UK.

Background: The pattern of change in maternal bone turnover throughout pregnancy is poorly characterized.
Objectives: We investigated changes across pregnancy in a marker of maternal bone resorption, urinary C-terminal telopeptide of type I collagen (CTX), the influence of gestational vitamin D supplementation, and associations between CTX and maternal postnatal bone indices.
Methods: MAVIDOS (the Maternal Vitamin D Osteoporosis Study) is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of 1000 IU cholecalciferol/d compared with placebo from 14 weeks of gestation to birth.

Purpose: Checkpoint kinase 2 () is frequently included in multigene panels. We describe the associated outcomes among carriers of pathogenic variants in young patients with symptomatic breast cancer.
Patients And Methods: Participants (N = 2,344) in the Prospective Outcomes in Sporadic Versus Hereditary Breast Cancer study had a diagnosis of primary invasive breast cancer at age ≤ 40 years.

Context: Single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in genes related to vitamin D metabolism have been associated with serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D] concentration, but these relationships have not been examined following antenatal cholecalciferol supplementation.
Objective: To determine whether SNPs in DHCR7, CYP2R1, CYP24A1, and GC are associated with the response to gestational cholecalciferol supplementation.
Design: Within-randomization group analysis of the Maternal Vitamin D Osteoporosis Study trial of antenatal cholecalciferol supplementation.
