The outcome of patients with relapsed/refractory classical Hodgkin lymphoma (R/R cHL) after autologous stem cell transplantation (auto-SCT) is poor. Recently, the anti-CD30 monoclonal antibody-drug conjugate, brentuximab vedotin (BV), has shown remarkable activity in the setting of R/R cHL. In the pivotal phase II study, BV produced an overall response rate of 75% and a median progression-free survival of 6.

Fibro-osseous pseudotumor of digits (FOPD) is an uncommon histological diagnosis. Clinical and imaging findings may resemble high-grade sarcoma or infection. We describe a patient with progressive pain and swelling at the dorsal surface of the first web space.

Variation of ultrasound findings in the first trimester examination of recurrent cases with trisomy 21.

Increased nuchal translucency (NT) is present in about 50% of cases with trisomy 21. Very often the nuchal edema evolves in hydrops fetalis until the second trimester. Furthermore, a small amount of cases with a normal NT and trisomy 21 exhibit anatomical anomalies.

Traumatic tibialis anterior tendon rupture: treatment with a two-stage silicone tube and an interposition hamstring tendons graft protocol.

A novel technique for managing ruptured tibialis anterior tendon complicated by infection and tendon substance loss in a young adult is described. A two-stage reconstruction technique with a silicon tube and tendon autograft was performed. At first, after local control of the infection, scar excision and placement of a silicone tube was performed.

Ancient schwannoma involving the median nerve: a case report and review of the literature.

Ancient schwannomas are benign long standing schwannomas of the neural sheaths. Histological findings are these seen as in conventional schwannomas, but ancient schwannomas additionally demonstrate cystic hemorrhagic changes and degenerative nuclei with pleomorphism and hyperchromasia. Due to the nuclear atypia, and cystic degeneration, ancient schwannomas might be confused with malignant tumors on histology and imaging, leading to a radical surgical approach.

Alterations of CD43 expression in transfusion-dependent myelodysplastic syndromes.

CD43 is a sialylated glycoprotein expressed on the surface of most haemopoietic cells and has been implicated in cell adhesion and signaling. It has previously been shown that CD43 expression is altered in patients with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). This raised the question of whether the alteration is associated with transfusions in these patients.
