Melanoma metastasis to the bladder: A case report of an underdiagnosed entity.

Introduction: Melanoma is an aggressive form of skin cancer known for its significant risk of metastasis. Metastasis to the urinary bladder is rare.

Case Presentation: We report a case of a 75-year-old woman with melanoma metastasis to the bladder treated with transurethral resection of the bladder tumor, confirmed by immunohistochemistry.

An unusual etiology of testicular avulsion: A case report.

Introduction: Dog bites are a common presentation in emergency departments. However, scrotal injuries with complete testicular avulsion are exceedingly rare.

Case Presentation: We present a case of a dog bite to the scrotum with complete detachment of the testis and right hemiscrotum in an intoxicated 48-year-old man, who was treated with wound irrigation, debridement, antibiotic prophylaxis, tetanus and rabies vaccination, and a covering scrotoplasty.

Ectopic pituitary adenoma with empty sella: A case report.

Ectopic pituitary adenoma is a condition characterized by the presence of an adenoma originating from extra-sellar pituitary cell residue from the migration of Rathke's pouch. First described in 1909, ectopic pituitary adenoma is a very rare, largely unknown condition with a challenging diagnosis, that requires proving the absence of communication between the extra-sellar mass and the normal pituitary gland (or any of the intra-sellar contents). Here, we describe the case of a 38-year-old female who presented with symptomatic hyperprolactinemia in whom magnetic resonance imaging revealed a space-occupying mass in the sphenoid sinus with an empty sella turcica.

Background: Depression is frequently associated with breast cancer. However, its prevalence and impact on patients' quality of life are negligible. Depression is often underdiagnosed and less treated.

Double-J placement complicated by endogenous endophthalmitis: A rare and serious outcome.

Endogenous endophthalmitis (EE) is a rare intraocular infection resulting from hematogenous microorganism spread, typically associated with underlying risk factors. We present a 52-year-old female with poorly-controlled diabetes and urolithiasis who developed EE following double-J stent placement for obstructive pyelonephritis. EE may occur due to increased intrarenal pressure during urological procedures.

Primary diffuse large B-Cell lymphoma of the female urethra: A case report.

Introduction: Primary diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) of the female urethra is a highly uncommon malignancy.

Case Report: A 78-year-old woman presents with urethrorrhagia and dysuria. Clinical examination revealed a protruding mass at the urethral meatus, accompanied by bilateral inguinal adenopathies.

Priapism associated with penile haematoma following a scorpion sting in a child: A rare case report.

Priapism is a rare condition in paediatrics. Although its association with scorpion envenomation has been documented, cases involving an associated penile haematoma are extremely rare. To the best of our knowledge, we hereby present the first documented case of this unique association in a nine-year-old boy following a scorpion sting.

Role of preoperative neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio in prediction of recurrence, progression, and BCG failure in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer: a retrospective study.

Introduction: neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR), as a biomarker of the systemic inflammatory response, has been studied for diverse tumors. Our study aims to determine whether the NLR can be reliably used as a tool to predict disease course in patients diagnosed with primary non-muscle invasive bladder tumors (NMIBC).

Methods: a retrospective study between 2009 to 2014 was conducted on 300 patients newly diagnosed with NMIBC at our institution.

Pre-excited atrial fibrillation revealed at a very delayed age: case report.

Background: Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome is a condition characterized by the persistence of an accessory pathway responsible for ventricular pre-excitation that can lead to symptomatic and potentially severe arrhythmias. Coexistence with atrial fibrillation is well known and not uncommon, exposing to potential degenerescence into ventricular fibrillation when atrial impulses are transmitted along the accessory pathway. WPW syndrome is most prevalent in younger patients and cases revealed after an advanced age have rarely been described in the literature.

Schwannoma of the radial nerve: a case report.

Schwannomas are the most common benign tumors of the peripheral nerves, but represents only 5%-8% of all soft tissue tumors. Their diagnosis is usually delayed due to their slow growth and the nervous adaptation to their increased volume. Ultrasound sonography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images usually ease the diagnosis.

Medullary Aplasia Revealing a Metastatic Prostatic Adenocarcinoma.

In this case report, we are reporting the case of a 68-year-old male patient who was admitted in our hospital for unintended weight loss, asthenia, and anorexia. Physical examination showed clinical signs of anemia such as pallor of skin and mucous membranes; hemodynamic parameters were normal. Complete blood count (CBC) analysis showed a pancytopenia with anemia, thrombocytopenia, and leukopenia.

Background & Objectives: Rickettsioses are zoonoses transmitted to humans by arthropods. They are due to strict intracellular bacteria belonging to the family Rickettsiaceae. Our purpose is to present the clinical and paraclinical characteristics of 14 new cases diagnosed in Al-Hoceima region, Morocco; indeed, the patients associated a diagnosis of Mediterranean Spotted Fever (MSF).

Mobile health applications for postnatal care: Review and analysis of functionalities and technical features.

Background: Providing a continuum of care from antenatal, childbirth and postnatal period results in reduced maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality. Timely, high quality postnatal care is crucial for maximizing maternal and newborn health. In this vein, the use of postnatal mobile applications constitutes a promising strategy.

Association of vitamin D status with multiple sclerosis in a case-control study from Morocco.

Background: Growing evidence suggests that hypovitaminosis D contributes to the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis (MS).

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate whether vitamin D levels are associated with having MS and some of its characteristics in the Moroccan population.

Methods: Using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry, the 25(OH)D metabolite was measured to quantify vitamin D serum levels (DSLs) in 113 patients with MS and 146 healthy controls matched for gender and age.

Effect of body composition on bone mineral density in Moroccan patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

Introduction: The link between bone mass and body composition is widely recognized, but only few works were selectively performed on subjects with juvenile idiopathic arthritis. The aim of our study was to investigate the effect of body composition on bone mineral density (BMD) in Moroccan patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

Methods: Thirty three children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) were included in a cross-sectional study.

Vitamin D concentrations and disease activity in Moroccan children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

Background: In addition to its important metabolic activities, vitamin D also contributes to the regulation of the immune system. The aim of this study was to assess the relationship between hypovitaminosis D and disease activity in Moroccan children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA).

Methods: In this cross-sectional study, forty children with JIA were included, all having been diagnosed according to the classification criteria of International League of Associations for Rheumatology (ILAR).
