Background: Cardiovascular events represent a major cause of non-graft-related death after liver transplant. Evidence suggest that chronic inflammation associated with a remarkable oxidative stress in the presence of endothelial dysfunction and procoagulant environment plays a major role in the promotion of thrombosis. However, the underlying molecular mechanisms are not completely understood.

Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) is among the most commonly occurring malignancies in adolescents. For relapsed/refractory disease, many regimens have been proposed. Novel agents are increasingly used, like brentuximab vedotin (BV), an antiCD30 antibody-drug conjugate, used as a single agent or in combination with classic regimens mainly in adults, while limited is the experience in pediatrics.

Classical pediatric Hodgkin Lymphoma (HL) is a rare malignancy. Therapeutic regimens for its management may be optimized by establishing treatment response early on. The aim of this study was to identify plasma protein biomarkers enabling the prediction of relapse in pediatric/adolescent HL patients treated under the pediatric EuroNet-PHL-C2 trial.

Background: To depict ecthyma gangrenosum (EG) clinical presentation and evolution in a large multicenter pediatric retrospective collection of children with malignancies or bone marrow failure syndromes, to facilitate early diagnosis.
Methods: EG episodes diagnosed in the period 2009-2019 were identified by a retrospective review of clinical charts at centers belonging to the Italian Pediatric Hematology Oncology Association.
Results: Thirty-eight cases of EG occurring in children (male/female 16/22; median age 5.

(N/F) mutational status at diagnosis is employed for T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LBL) patients' stratification in the international protocol LBL 2018. Our aim was to validate the prognostic role of Minimal Disseminated Disease (MDD) alone and in combination with N/F mutational status in a large retrospective series of LBL pediatric patients. MDD was analyzed in 132 bone marrow and/or peripheral blood samples by flow cytometry.

Malignant epithelioid soft tissue tumors encompass a wide spectrum of lesions. Among them, Epithelioid Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumors (MPNST) constitute a distinct subgroup, accounting for <5% of all MPNST. Epithelioid MPNST are infrequently associated with neurofibromatosis type 1, occasionally arise in a schwannoma and show diffuse S100 and CD34 expression, often combined with INI-1 loss.

Background: To date, there are few studies that describe pharmacokinetics, safety and efficacy of posaconazole delayed-release tablet (DRT) formulation in the paediatric population.
Objectives: We evaluated retrospectively posaconazole plasma concentrations and safety of posaconazole DRT in paediatric haematology-oncology patients.
Patients And Methods: Posaconazole DRT was assessed in 28 haematological paediatric patients with a median age 15 of years (range 5-18) and a median body weight of 50 kg (range 22-83 kg).

Background: Vitamin D (25-OHD) has a role in bone health after treatment for cancer. 25-OHD deficiency has been associated with risk factors for cardiovascular disease, but no data focusing on this topic in childhood cancer survivors have been published. We investigated the 25-OHD status in children treated for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and evaluated its influence on vascular function.
