Erythema nodosum - presentation of three cases.

Erythema nodosum (EN) is a well-known form of panniculitis. Erythema nodosum may be accompanied by general symptoms such as fever, weakness, and severe pain, but skin lesions resolve without skin damage.

The use of nalbuphine in paediatric anaesthesia.

Nalbuphine is an agonist-antagonist opioid. It causes analgesic and sedative effect and because of ceiling effect it does not cause a respiratory depression. In a perioperative therapy of paediatric patients it may be used for premedication, sedation during diagnostic procedures as well as for postoperative pain treatment.

Cytokine profiles in axial spondyloarthritis.

Objectives: Current studies concentrate on the cytokine network and its role in the pathogenesis of spondyloarthritis (SpA). In this study, we analyzed whether the serum cytokine profile (interleukins: IL-10, IL-11, IL-12, IL-15, IL-17, IL-23 and IL-33) correlates with demographic data, clinical manifestations, disease activity and treatment outcome in a group of patients with axial spondyloarthritis.

Material And Methods: Forty-nine patients with an established diagnosis of axial spondyloarthritis (aSpA) and 19 healthy volunteers as controls were enrolled in the study.

Assessment of foetal age on the basis of the selected dimensions of the thorax.

Background: The correct definition of foetal age is a substantial problem in forensic medicine, gynaecology, obstetrics and anthropology.

Objectives: The goal of the study was the mathematical assessment of the foetal age with the use of thorax selected dimensions.

Material And Methods: The material consisted of 110 foetuses aged 4-7 months of foetal life, including 50 females in the CRL range: 80-233 mm.
