Soy allergy in patients suffering from atopic dermatitis.

Aim: The evaluation of soy allergy in patients over 14 years of age suffering from atopic dermatitis. The evaluation of the correlation to the occurence of peanut and pollen allergy.

Materials And Methods: Altogether 175 persons suffering from atopic dermatitis were included in the study: Specific IgE, skin prick tests, atopy patch tests to soy, history and food allergy to peanut and pollen allergy were evaluated.

Analysis of continuous patient data from the Czech National Register of patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes using insulin pump therapy.

Venous thromboembolism in young female while on oral contraceptives: high frequency of inherited thrombophilia and analysis of thrombotic events in 400 czech women.

Unlabelled: Oral contraceptive use is a common risk factor for venous thromboembolism in women of reproductive age. The presence of inherited thrombophilia further increases this risk.

Methods: We analyzed a large group of 400 Czech women with venous thromboembolism in association with oral contraceptive with regard to duration of use at the time of manifestation of venous thromboembolism, the frequency of inherited and acquired thrombophilia, the frequency of eliciting risk factor for thrombosis including immobilization, surgery, administration of plaster cast, long travel, and so on, and the type of thrombosis.

Moral judgement competence and moral attitudes of medical students.

A cross-sectional study explored the moral judgement competence and moral attitudes of 310 Czech and Slovak and 70 foreign national students at the Medical Faculty of Charles University in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. Lind's Moral Judgement Test was used to evaluate moral judgement competence and moral attitudes depending on factors such as age, number of semesters of study, sex, nationality and religion. Moral judgement competence decreased significantly in the Czech and Slovak medical students as they grew older; in medical students from other countries it did not significantly increase.

Effect of 2% plain and fluoridated milk on root surface caries in vitro.
