: Despite the distinct entity of both p16-positive and p16-negative squamous cell carcinoma unknown primary in the head and neck (HNSCCUP), the diagnostic workup did not differ. The aim of the study was to determine the effectiveness of palatine tonsillectomy in the identification of primary tumours in two groups of p16-positive and p16-negative HNSCCUP. : Patients with HNSCCUP managed in two tertiary care referral centres from 1 January 2014 to 31 December 2020 were analysed retrospectively.

Background: Alemtuzumab (ALEM) is a humanised monoclonal antibody that depletes circulating lymphocytes by selectively targeting CD52, which is expressed in high levels on T- and B-lymphocytes. This depletion is followed by lymphocyte repopulation and a cytokine expression shift towards a lesser inflammatory profile, both of which may contribute to prolonged efficacy. National recommendations for enrolling and treating multiple sclerosis (MS) patients with ALEM have been established.

Background: The presented study investigates the application of bi-arterial 3D printed models to guide transseptal puncture (TSP) in left atrial appendage closure (LAAC).
Aims: The objectives are to (1) test the feasibility of 3D printing (3DP) for TSP guidance, (2) analyse the distribution of the optimal TSP locations, and (3) define a CT-derived 2D parameter suitable for predicting the optimal TSP locations.
Methods: Preprocedural planning included multiplanar CT reconstruction, 3D segmentation, and 3DP.
Context: Lymph node (LN) involvement in penile cancer is associated with poor survival. Early diagnosis and management significantly impact survival, with multimodal treatment approaches often considered in advanced disease.
Objective: To assess the clinical effectiveness of treatment options available for the management of inguinal and pelvic lymphadenopathy in men with penile cancer.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has multiple molecular classes that are associated with distinct etiologies and, besides particular molecular characteristics, that also differ in clinical aspects. We aim to characterize the clinical aspects of alcoholic liver disease-related HCC by a retrospective observational study that included all consequent patients diagnosed with MRI or histologically verified HCC in participating centers from 2010 to 2016. A total of 429 patients were included in the analysis, of which 412 patients (96%) had cirrhosis at the time of diagnosis.

Development of bilateral hydronephrosis and ureteric rupture has never been reported in the published literature so far. We describe a case of 51years old gentleman who developed this complication after-rectal ultrasound guided prostate biopsy. The patient was treated with bilateral double-J stent insertion, intravenous antibiotic therapy and recovered completely.

Background: Despite the high prevalence of depression and anxiety in chronic pain conditions, current knowledge concerning emotional distress among painful diabetic polyneuropathy (pDSPN) and other diabetes mellitus (DM) sufferers is limited.
Methods: This observational multicentre cohort study employed the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, the Beck Depression Inventory II and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory to assess symptoms of depression and anxiety in several groups with diabetes, as well as in a control group. The study cohort included 347 pDSPN patients aged 63.

A distinct renal tumor has recently been described as "high-grade oncocytic renal tumor" and "sporadic renal cell carcinoma with eosinophilic and vacuolated cytoplasm". The Genitourinary Pathology Society (GUPS) consensus proposed a unifying name "eosinophilic vacuolated tumor" (EVT) for this emerging entity. In this multi-institutional study, we evaluated 19 EVTs, particularly their molecular features and mutation profile, using next-generation sequencing.

Introduction: We performed systematic review to assess the effects of different medical and surgical management of urinary stones in children.
Methods: We performed a comprehensive search using multiple databases (MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Register of Controlled Trials), trials registries (World Health Organization International Clinical Trials Registry Platform Search Portal and ClinicalTrials.gov), and abstract proceedings of major urological and pediatric urology meetings, with no restrictions on the language of publication or publication status, up until December 2017.

As there are scarce data regarding the outcomes of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) patients treated with intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) within 60 min from symptom onset ("golden hour"), we sought to compare outcomes between AIS patients treated within [GH(+)] and outside [GH(-)] the "golden hour" by analyzing propensity score matched data from the SITS-EAST registry. Clinical recovery (CR) at 2 and 24 h was defined as a reduction of ≥10 points on NIHSS-score or a total NIHSS-score of ≤3 at 2 and 24 h, respectively. A relative reduction in NIHSS-score of ≥40% at 2 h was considered predictive of complete recanalization (CREC).

Background And Purpose: According to the European license, alteplase can be given no sooner than 3 months after previous stroke. However, it is not known whether past history of stroke influences the effect of treatment. Our aim was to evaluate safety and functional outcome after intravenous thrombolysis administered in everyday practice to patients with previous stroke≤3 months compared with those with first-ever stroke.

Background And Purpose: A recent meta-analysis investigating the association between statins and early outcomes in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) patients treated with intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) indicated that prestroke statin treatment was associated with increased risk of 90-day mortality and symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage. We investigated the potential association of statin pretreatment with early outcomes in a large, international registry of AIS patients treated with IVT.
Methods: We analyzed prospectively collected data from the Safe Implementation of Treatments in Stroke-East registry (SITS-EAST) registry on consecutive AIS patients treated with IVT during an 8-year period.

Methods: We analyzed the data of all stroke patients admitted between October 2003 and December 2011 that were contributed to the Safe Implementation of Treatments in Stroke-Eastern Europe (SITS-EAST) registry.

Authors in this article emphasize the wide use of laparoscopic cholecystectomy in gall bladder surgery. Indications for laparoscopic operations are increasing. In spite of increasing practical experience of surgeons, availability of new instruments, advances of techniques, this problem of conversion is always actual.

The aim of our study is to show the clinical potential of laparoscopic treatment of pericardial effusions. In spite of the small number of the patients we want to bring to attention the benefit of this mininvasive procedure. The laparoscopic fenestration is indicated when the pericardial effusion persists after unsuccessful medical treatment and when clinical and echocardiografic signs of tamponade develop (Ref 13).
