Objective: The study objective was to assess the efficacity of different surgical strategies for atrioesophageal fistula after catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation.
Methods: Between January 2010 and April 2023, all patients with a diagnosis of atrioesophageal fistula or pericardo-esophageal fistula after catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation were analyzed retrospectively from the French database EPITHOR. Patients without surgical management were excluded.

Background: Despite improvement in devices, in-stent restenosis remains a frequent and challenging complication of percutaneous coronary interventions.
Methods And Results: The RESTO (Morphological Parameters of In-Stent Restenosis Assessed and Identified by OCT [Optical Coherence Tomography]; study NCT04268875) was a prospective multicenter registry including patients presenting with coronary syndromes related to in-stent restenosis. All patients underwent preintervention OCT analysis, which led to analysis of in-stent restenosis phenotype, number of strut layers, and presence of stent underexpansion.

Background: The percentage of women <50 years of age hospitalized with myocardial infarction is increasing. We describe the clinical, morphological, and biological characteristics, as well as the clinical outcomes of this population.
Methods And Results: This prospective, observational study included consecutive women <50 years of age admitted for myocardial infarction at 30 centers in France (May 2017-June 2019).

Background: Data on ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP) in COVID-19 and influenza patients admitted to intensive care units (ICU) are scarce. This study aimed to estimate day-60 mortality related to VAP in ICU patients ventilated for at least 48 h, either for COVID-19 or for influenza, and to describe the epidemiological characteristics in each group of VAP.
Design: Multicentre retrospective observational study.

Background: Obstructive coronary artery disease is the main cause of death worldwide. By tracking events and gaining feedback on patient management, the most relevant information is provided to public health services to further improve prognosis.
Aims: To create an inclusive and accurate registry of all percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) procedures performed in France, to assess and improve the quality of care and create research incentives.

Direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) are recommended for the prevention of thromboembolism in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), and are now preferred over vitamin K antagonists due to their beneficial efficacy and safety profile. However, all oral anticoagulants carry a risk of gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding. Although the risk is well documented and acute bleeding well codified, there is limited high-quality evidence and no guidelines to guide physicians on the optimal management of anticoagulation after a GI bleeding event.

Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) incidence is high among critically ill COVID-19 patients. Its attributable mortality remains underestimated, especially for unresolved episodes. Indeed, the impact of therapeutic failures and the determinants that potentially affect mortality are poorly evaluated.

Several strategies have been devised to safely limit the use of thoracic imaging in patients suspected of pulmonary embolism (PE). However, they are based on different rules for clinical probability (CP) assessment, rendering their combination difficult. The four-level pulmonary embolism probability score (4PEPS) allows the combination of all other strategies using a single CP assessment.

Background: Few data are available on the impact of bacterial pulmonary co-infection (RespCoBact) during COVID-19 (CovRespCoBact). The aim of this study was to compare the prognosis of patients admitted to an ICU for pneumonia and for SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia with and without RespCoBact.
Methods: This was a multicentre ( = 11) observational study using the Outcomerea© database.

We report the case of a 14-year-old man who arrived at the emergency department affected by a high-flow priapism due to a traumatic left arterial-sinusoidal fistula. After clinical examination, a colour Doppler ultrasound of the penis was performed which showed a left arterial-sinusoidal fistula measuring 7×16×30mm, with high-speed and turbulent flow. The fistula was successfully treated by three highly selective endovascular embolizations and at the 20days follow-up, clinical examination resulted normal.

Objectives: Dryness, fatigue, and pain are classic symptoms in primary Sjögren's syndrome (pSS) but are also common in fibromyalgia (FM). We compared the characteristics of FM assessed by different criteria (American College of Rheumatology (ACR) 2016 and 1990 criteria), physician's opinion and Fibromyalgia Rapid Screening Tool (FiRST) questionnaire) in a cohort of patients with pSS.
Methods: Eight hospital departments tested 134 patients with pSS according to AECG criteria from the Assessment of Systemic Signs and Evolution in Sjögren's Syndrome (ASSESS) cohort.

Background: Petrous bone pneumatization may be related to cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak secondary to vestibular schwannoma surgery.
Objective: To assess the association between petrous bone pneumatization and CSF leak in vestibular schwannoma surgery.
Methods: A retrospective study included 222 consecutive vestibular schwannoma patients treated via a retrosigmoid or translabyrinthine approach in a 17-year period in one University Hospital.

Background: Systems of care have been challenged to control progression of the COVID-19 pandemic. Whether this has been associated with delayed reperfusion and worse outcomes in French patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is unknown.
Aim: To compare the rate of STEMI admissions, treatment delays, and outcomes between the first peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in France and the equivalent period in 2019.

Introduction: The evolution of atrioventricular conduction disorders after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) remains poorly understood. We sought to identify factors associated with late (occurring ≥7 days after the procedure) high-grade atrioventricular blocks after TAVI, based on specific pacemaker memory data.
Methods And Results: STIM-TAVI (NCT03338582) was a prospective, multicentre, observational study that enrolled all patients (from November 2015 to January 2017) implanted with a specific dual chamber pacemaker after TAVI, with the SafeR algorithm activated, allowing continuous monitoring of atrioventricular conduction.

Material And Methods: We performed a retrospective systematic search of PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library databases from inception to January 2020, using the keywords "magnetic resonance imaging" and "salivary gland neoplasms".
Results: The initial search returned 2345 references and 90 were deemed relevant for this study.
