Recently, , a gene encoding an RNA binding protein, has consistently been associated with aggressive and antisocial behavior. Several loci in the gene have been nominally associated with aggression in genome-wide association studies, the risk alleles being more frequent in the general population. We have hence examined the association of four single nucleotide polymorphisms, previously found related to aggressive traits, with aggressiveness, personality, and alcohol use disorder in birth cohort representative samples.

CD4 T cells reactive against SARS-CoV-2 can be found in unexposed individuals, and these are suggested to arise in response to common cold coronavirus (CCCoV) infection. Here, we utilized SARS-CoV-2-reactive CD4 T cell enrichment to examine the antigen avidity and clonality of these cells, as well as the relative contribution of CCCoV cross-reactivity. SARS-CoV-2-reactive CD4 memory T cells were present in virtually all unexposed individuals examined, displaying low functional avidity and multiple, highly variable cross-reactivities that were not restricted to CCCoVs.

There is strong evidence for a bidirectional association between depression and obesity. Several biological, psychological, and behavior-related factors may influence this complex association. Clinical impression and preliminary evidence suggest that patients with a diagnosis of major depressive disorder may endorse very different depressive symptom patterns depending on their body weight status.

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is a blood concentrate derived from venous blood that is processed without anticoagulants by a one-step centrifugation process. This three-dimensional scaffold contains inflammatory cells and plasma proteins entrapped in a fibrin matrix. Liquid-PRF was developed based on the previously described low-speed centrifuge concept (LSCC), which allowed the introduction of a liquid-PRF formulation of fibrinogen and thrombin prior to its conversion to fibrin.

Background: Precise robotic or stereotactic implantation of stereoelectroencephalography (sEEG) electrodes relies on the exact referencing of the planning images in order to match the patient's anatomy to the stereotactic device or robot. We compared the accuracy of sEEG electrode implantation with stereotactic frame versus laser scanning of the face based on computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) datasets for referencing.
Methods: The accuracy was determined by calculating the Euclidian distance between the planned trajectory and the postoperative position of the sEEG electrode, defining the entry point error (EPE) and the target point error (TPE).

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is generated from the patients' own venous blood by a single centrifugation step without the additional use of anticoagulants. Based on the previously described LSCC (low-speed centrifugation concept), our group showed that modification of the centrifugation setting, that is, reducing the relative centrifugal force (RCF) and mildly increasing the centrifugation time, resulted in modified solid and liquid PRF-matrices with increased number of platelets, leukocytes, and growth factors' concentrations. The aim of this study was to determine whether RCF reduction might also result in different tissue reactions toward the two PRF-based matrices, especially vascularization and cell distribution in vivo.

The RBFOX1 gene (or A2BP1) encodes a splicing factor important for neuronal development that has been related to autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental phenotypes. Evidence from complementary sources suggests that this gene contributes to aggressive behavior. Suggestive associations with RBFOX1 have been identified in genome-wide association studies (GWAS) of anger, conduct disorder, and aggressive behavior.
