Background: It is not yet known whether lipedema is a progressive chronic disease or not. The aim of this paper is to describe the long-term changes in the volume of the lower limbs.

Methods: The primary endpoint of this prospective cohort study of patients with lipedema was the percentage of volume change (PVC) during follow up.

Use of SGLT2i in Non-Diabetic Kidney Transplant Recipients.

Background: The potential anti-proteinuric effect of sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) is of special interest in kidney transplantation. Its benefits have been demonstrated in diabetic kidney transplant recipients (KTRs). We analyzed the efficacy and safety of SGLT2i in non-diabetic KTRs collecting clinical and analytical data at baseline and 6 months after the introduction of the drug.

This review examines the reasons for these differences, including risk factors, screening participation, interpretation of screening tests, presentation and tumour types, pathophysiology (particularly the impact of sex hormones on tumour-related gene expression, microsatellite instability, micro-RNA expression, and the tumour microenvironment), and the efficacy and toxicity of treatment. Sex differences in hormones and body composition are responsible for some of the sexual dimorphism in CRC incidence and outcomes, particularly the pathophysiology, CRC presentation, the pharmacokinetics of cytotoxic therapies, and the impact of treatment on outcomes.
