Introduction: The Watchman FLX is a novel device for transcatheter left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) specifically designed to improve procedural performance in more complex anatomies with a better safety profile. Recently, small prospective non-randomized studies have shown good procedural success and safety compared with previous experiences. Results from large multicenter registries are needed to confirm the safety and efficacy of the Watchman FLX device in a real-world setting.

The combination of rituximab, bendamustine, and low-dose cytarabine (R-BAC) has been studied in a phase 2 prospective multicenter study from Fondazione Italiana Linfomi (RBAC500). In 57 previously untreated elderly patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), R-BAC was associated with a complete remission rate of 91% and 2-year progression-free survival (PFS) of 81% (95% confidence interval [CI], 68-89). Here, we report the long-term survival outcomes, late toxicities, and results of minimal residual disease (MRD) evaluation.

Purpose: This retrospective, multicenter study analyzes the efficacy and safety of stereotactic body radiation therapy in a large cohort of patients with oligometastatic/persistent/recurrent uterine cancer.
Methods And Materials: Clinical and radiation therapy data from several radiation therapy centers treating patients by stereotactic body radiation therapy between March 2006 and October 2021 were collected. Objective response rate was defined as complete and partial response, and clinical benefit included objective response rate plus stable disease.

Current research on cardiovascular prevention predominantly focuses on risk-stratification and management of patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) to optimize their prognosis. Several basic, translational and clinical research efforts aim to determine the etiological mechanisms underlying CAD pathogenesis and to identify lifestyle-dependent metabolic risk factors or genetic and epigenetic parameters responsible for CAD occurrence and/or progression. A log-linear association between the absolute exposure of LDL cholesterol (LDL-C) and the risk of atherosclerotic cardio-vascular disease (ASCVD) was well documented over the year.

Objective: Nearly half of people with epilepsy (PWE) are expected to develop seizure clusters (SC), with the subsequent risk of hospitalization. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the use, effectiveness and safety of intravenous (IV) brivaracetam (BRV) in the treatment of SC.
Methods: Retrospective multicentric study of patients with SC (≥ 2 seizures/24 h) who received IV BRV.

Cholangiocarcinoma is a rare group of tumors that involve the hepatic biliary tree. Prognosis for patients with cholangiocarcinoma remains dismal. Herein, we present survival trends over a long time period spanning almost 20 years in patients with advanced cholangiocarcinoma receiving systemic chemotherapy.

Unlabelled: The precise role of Lipoprotein associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PlA2) in the pathogenesis of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and in the prediction of future cardiovascular events is still debated. So far, few data exist on the variations of Lp-PlA2 activity in ACS and especially in NSTE-ACS vs. STEMI patients, where thrombotic and atherosclerotic mechanisms could play a differential role.

Background: Thymidine kinase 1 (TK1) is an enzyme downstream of the CDK4/6 pathway, with a critical role in DNA synthesis; serum TK1 activity (sTKa) is a novel liquid biopsy biomarker of tumour cell proliferation.
Methods: The phase IIIb, BioItaLEE trial (NCT03439046) collected sera from postmenopausal patients with hormone receptor-positive (HR+), HER2-negative (HER2-) advanced breast cancer (ABC) treated with first-line ribociclib plus letrozole at baseline, day 15 of cycle 1 (C1D15), day 1 of cycle 2 (C2D1), and at first imaging. Associations between sTKa assessed at different time points or sTKa dynamic patterns, and progression-free survival (PFS) were evaluated using multivariate Cox models.

Patients with a diagnosis of lung cancer are often vulnerable to infection, and the risk is increased by tumor-associated immunosuppression and the effects of the treatments. Historically, links between the risk of infection and cytotoxic chemotherapy due to neutropenia and respiratory syndromes are well established. The advent of tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) and immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) targeting the programmed cell death-1 (PD-1)/programmed cell death- ligand 1 (PD-L1) axis and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4 (CTLA-4) have changed the treatment paradigm for lung cancer patients.

Purpose Of Review: We discuss two recent controversial issues in the research field of fatty liver: the proposal to replace nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) with metabolically associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) and the suggestion to extend to primary care the noninvasive testing for liver fibrosis that was developed for secondary care.
Recent Findings: There is preliminary evidence that MAFLD-only patients are at greater risk of fibrosis than NAFLD-only patients. There are a large number of false positives associated with the downshift of noninvasive testing for liver fibrosis from secondary to primary care.

Background: In patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) of the culprit lesion significantly reduces the risk of cardiovascular death. However, the management of non-culprit lesions in patients with the multivessel disease remains a matter of debate in this setting. It's still unclear if a morphological OCT-guided approach, identifying coronary plaque instability, may provide a more specific treatment compared with a standard angiographic/functional approach.

In the last two and a half years, COVID-19 has been one of the most challenging public health issues worldwide. Based on the available evidence, pregnant women do not appear to be more susceptible to infection than the general population but having COVID-19 during pregnancy may increase the risk of major complications for both the mother and the fetus. The aim of this study is to identify the correlation between BMI and nutritional status and the likelihood of contracting COVID-19 infection in pregnancy, its severity, and maternal pregnancy outcomes.

: to describe current scientific knowledge regarding the treatment options in advanced oropharyngeal cancer. The standard care for advanced oropharyngeal cancer (OPSCC) has been chemoradiotherapy, although surgical approaches followed by adjuvant treatment have been proposed. The best therapy for each patient should be decided by an interdisciplinary tumour-board.

Background And Aim Of The Work: The diagnosis of Crohn Disease (CD) represents a turning point in the life of patients, which inevitably marks them. The present study represents a direct "feed-back" from patients suffering from Crohn disease, in order to reveal how the diagnosis of CD changed lifestyles and psychological conditions in their patients.
Methods: An observational, cross sectional, online, snowball sampling study was conducted through participants suffered from CD and belonged to social networks and Facebook groups.

Background: Trop-2 and Nectin-4 are transmembrane proteins overexpressed in many tumours and targets of antibody-drug conjugates (ADC). In metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), the role of Trop-2 and Nectin-4 has been poorly investigated.
Methods: Tumour samples of patients randomised in the phase III TRIBE2 were assessed for Trop-2 and Nectin-4 expression.
