The aim of the present study was to provide a forensic psychiatric characterization of perpetrators of parricide who were found not guilty by reason of insanity (NGRI). We conducted a study involving 52 NGRI patients who had committed homicide or attempted homicide within the Department of Forensic Psychiatry in Thessaloniki, Greece, between January 2015 and 2020. Calcifying fibrous pseudotumors (CFT) are rare benign lesions diagnosed by histological and immunohistochemical studies. Our case presents a rare detection of a CFT in the parietal peritoneum. These lesions can be falsely interpreted as myomas or adnexal masses and thus gynecologists should be aware of the existence of CFTs.

Uveal melanomas represent approximately 5% of all human melanomas. Omental metastases are often diagnosed as secondary metastatic sites and only a few cases have been described as the first single manifestation of distant metastasis. We conducted a retrospective analysis of 200 IU/kg cytomegalovirus-specific hyperimmune globulin (HIG), used in first-trimester maternal primary infections for congenital infection prevention. The primary outcome was vertical transmission, defined as neonatal viruria or positive amniocentesis if pregnancy was discontinued.
