Background: Stretching exercises have effects on local and widespread pain sensitivity. A dose-response relationship may exist between the analgesic effect and the intensity of stretching, such that a higher intensity of stretching may generate a larger reduction in analgesic response, but this remains to be studied. This study aimed to examine the dose-response relationship between stretching intensity and the analgesic effect.

Background: Stretching exercises are widely used for pain relief and show positive effects on musculoskeletal, nociplastic and neuropathic pain; the magnitude of altered pain sensitivity responses following regular stretching is currently unknown. This study aimed to investigate the effect of six weeks of regular stretching exercise on regional and widespread pain sensitivity and range of motion and the effect of stretching cessation on regional and widespread pain sensitivity and range of motion.
Methods: An experimental single-blind longitudinal repeated measures study.

Introduction: Mobile Imaging Trailers enable moving diagnostic imaging equipment between locations requiring very little setup and configuration, example given CT-scanners and MRI-scanners. However, despite the apparent benefits of utilising these imaging capabilities, very little research on the subject exists. This study aims at gaining an overview of the current state of the literature, using the scoping review methodology.

Background: Research is often undertaken using patient-reported outcomes from questionnaires. Achieving a high response rate demands expensive and time-consuming methods like telephone reminders. However, it is unknown whether telephone reminders change outcome estimates or only affect the response rate in research of populations with low back pain (LBP).

Background: Women with previous gestational diabetes have an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes later in life. Recommendations therefore urge these women to participate in follow-up screening, 4-12 weeks postpartum and every 1-3 years thereafter. We sought to theorize how reminder interventions to support early detection of diabetes work, for whom, and in what circumstances.

Background: Accidental falls are common among community-dwellers, probably due to the level of physical activity and impaired postural stability. Today, fall risk prediction tools' discriminative validity are only moderate. In order to increase the accuracy, multiple variables such as highly validated objective field measurements of physical activity and impaired postural stability should be adressed in order to predict falls.

Diagnosing and treating low back pain (LBP) is a worldwide major primary care challenge in which a differential diagnosis between non-specific LBP and conditions with a known pathology is essential for choosing the optimal treatment strategy. The time required for the diagnosis of a condition such as ankylosing spondylitis (AS) was previously found too long. However, a recently published paper by Bashir et al.

Background and aims The effect of stretching on joint range of motion is well documented and is primarily related to changes in the tolerance to stretch, but the mechanisms underlying this change are still largely unknown. The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of a remote, painful stimulus on stretch tolerance. Methods Thirty-four healthy male subjects were recruited and randomly assigned to an experimental pain group (n=17) or a control group (n=17).
