Background: There is a growing expectation that neurodivergent young people, such as those with diagnoses of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and/or autism, should play a central role in shaping research on neurodevelopmental conditions. However, currently, their involvement is typically limited to arms-length advice. To address this, the (RE-STAR) programme has co-developed a framework for deepening the involvement of neurodivergent participants in translational research.

Material flow analysis (MFA) is used to quantify and understand the life cycles of materials from production to end of use, which enables environmental, social, and economic impacts and interventions. MFA is challenging as available data are often limited and uncertain, leading to an under-determined system with an infinite number of possible stocks and flows values. Bayesian statistics is an effective way to address these challenges by principally incorporating domain knowledge, quantifying uncertainty in the data, and providing probabilities associated with model solutions.

Improved surgical skill is generally associated with improved patient outcomes, although assessment is subjective, labour intensive, and requires domain-specific expertise. Automated data-driven metrics can alleviate these difficulties, as demonstrated by existing machine learning instrument tracking models. However, these models are tested on limited datasets of laparoscopic surgery, with a focus on isolated tasks and robotic surgery.

Accurate intra-operative Remaining Surgery Duration (RSD) predictions allow for anaesthetists to more accurately decide when to administer anaesthetic agents and drugs, as well as to notify hospital staff to send in the next patient. Therefore, RSD plays an important role in improved patient care and minimising surgical theatre costs via efficient scheduling. In endoscopic pituitary surgery, it is uniquely challenging due to variable workflow sequences with a selection of optional steps contributing to high variability in surgery duration.

Introduction: Plasma phosphorylated tau-181 (p-tau181) associations with global cognition and memory are clear, but the link between p-tau181 with other cognitive domains and subjective cognitive decline (SCD) across the clinical spectrum of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and how this association changes based on genetic and demographic factors is poorly understood.

Methods: Participants were drawn from the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) and included 1185 adults >55 years of age with plasma p-tau181 and neuropsychological test data. Linear regression models related plasma p-tau181 to neuropsychological composite and SCD scores with follow-up models examining plasma p-tau181 interactions with cognitive diagnosis, apolipoprotein E ε4 carrier status, age, and sex on cognitive outcomes.

Introduction: Chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy is highly effective in B-cell blood cancers, but there is limited data on its safety and efficacy in intra-cardiac lymphoma, due to the potential risks of cardiotoxicity and pseudo-progression.

Discussion: We discuss four high-risk cases that were managed with a multi-disciplinary approach, including baseline cardiac risk assessment and surveillance with multimodal cardiac imaging and serum cardiac biomarkers, elective supportive care in the intensive care unit, and early treatment of cytokine release syndrome.

Conclusion: CAR-T therapy can be effective and safe in the treatment of B-cell blood cancers with intra-cardiac disease.

Simultaneous observations of and in Jupiter's northern infrared aurora were conducted on 02 June 2017 using Keck-NIRSPEC to produce polar projection maps of radiance, rotational temperature, column density, and radiance. The temperature variations within the auroral region are K, generally consistent with previous studies, albeit with some structural differences. Known auroral heating sources including particle precipitation, Joule heating, and ion drag have been examined by studying the correlations between each derived quantity, yet no single dominant mechanism can be identified as the main driver for the energetics in Jupiter's northern auroral region.

Animal-mediated pollination is a key ecosystem service required to some extent by almost three-quarters of the leading human food crops in global food production. Anthropogenic pressures such as habitat loss and land-use intensification are causing shifts in ecological community composition, potentially resulting in declines in pollination services and impacting crop production. Previous research has often overlooked interspecific differences in pollination contribution, yet such differences mean that biodiversity declines will not necessarily negatively impact pollination.

High-dose melphalan followed by stem cell rescue is the standard consolidative therapy for transplant-eligible patients with multiple myeloma (MM) in the United Kingdom. A melphalan dose of 200 mg/m (Mel200) is considered the "gold standard" for autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT) conditioning for fit patients ≤70 years old; however, with a peak diagnosis incidence at 80-89 years old in the UK dose adjustments will be inevitable to limit toxicities. In this single-centre UK-based retrospective analysis, data was collected from patients with plasma cell dyscrasias who underwent a first reduced-intensity, Mel140, ASCT from 2006 to 2019, a total of 81 patients.
