Introduction: Current trends of delaying childbearing and the increasing incidence of endometrial cancer in nulliparous woman necessitate research and development of fertility sparing treatments. Hormonal therapy with progestins offers an alternative to surgical treatment for a select group of patients of reproductive-age, who wish to preserve their reproductive potential.

Materials And Methods: The study evaluates the effectiveness of medroxyprogesterone acetate therapy in patients with early-stage endometrial cancer, atypical endometrial hyperplasia or atypical polypoid adenomyoma, seeking to preserve fertility.

Asymmetry in body composition parameters of the upper and lower extremity among healthy Austrian women.

Humans typically have bilateral symmetry, however, deviations from perfect symmetry can be observed. In the case of the upper extremities, mostly a right-biased asymmetry in the length or strength of the bones, but also lean body mass was reported. Regarding the lower extremities, the asymmetry patterns are weaker.

SUCCOR quality: validation of ESGO quality indicators for surgical treatment of cervical cancer.

Objective: To evaluate whether compliance with European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO) surgery quality indicators impacts disease-free survival in patients undergoing radical hysterectomy for cervical cancer.

Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, 15 ESGO quality indicators were assessed in the SUCCOR database (patients who underwent radical hysterectomy for International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) stage 2009 IB1, FIGO 2018 IB1, and IB2 cervical cancer between January 2013 and December 2014), and the final score ranged between 0 and 16 points. Centers with more than 13 points were classified as high-quality indicator compliance centers.

Factors That Influence Surgical Margin State in Patients Undergoing Cold Knife Conization - A Single Center Experience.

Aim: To evaluate the factors that influence the surgical margin state in patients undergoing cold knife conization at the University Clinic of Gynecology and Obstetrics in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia Materials and methods: We have retrospectively analyzed the medical records of all patients that underwent a cold knife conization at our Clinic in 2015. We cross-referenced the surgical margin state with the histopathological diagnosis (LSIL, HSIL or micro-invasive/invasive cancer), menopausal status of the patients, number of pregnancies, surgeon experience, operating time and cone depth. The data was analyzed with the Chi square test, Fisher's exact test for categorical data and Student's T test for continuous data and univariate and multivariate logistical regressions were performed.

A significant role of high-risk Human papilloma viruses (HR HPV) in the development of cervical carcinoma is well known. HR HPV 16 and 18 account for approximately 70% of all cases of cervical cancer worldwide. The incidence of cervical cancer in Serbia, is one of the highest in Europe.

Simultaneous dermoid cyst and endometriosis in the same ovary: a case report.

The authors present a case of a 33-year-old infertile woman with coincidental dermoid cyst and ovarian endometriosis in the same ovary. She was admitted to the Clinic because of cystic tumor of the left adnexa. Transvaginal ultrasound (TVUS) examination found a bilocular tumor of complex structure on the left ovary.

Carcinosarcoma of the uterus in advanced stage: a case report.

This is the case of an advanced stage carcinosarcoma uteri, in a patient with limited therapy options. Carcinosarcomas (malignant mixed Müllerian tumors) are histologically composed of malignant epithelial and mesenchymal components. Sarcomatous component of this mixed tumor in the present patient was of heterologous-type chondrosarcoma.
