Background: Liquid biopsies offer less burdensome sensitive disease monitoring. Bone marrow (BM) metastases, common in various cancers including neuroblastoma, is associated with poor outcomes. In pediatric high-risk neuroblastoma most patients initially respond to treatment, but in the majority the disease recurs with only 40% long-term survivors, stressing the need for more sensitive detection of disseminated disease during therapy.

Home noninvasive ventilation (NIV) is expanding worldwide for pediatrics and is mainly indicated to treat nocturnal alveolar hypoventilation. Nasal mask is the most common interface used in children, but oronasal mask may be indicated in case of excessive mouth leaks or facial weakness. Obstructive events caused by the oronasal mask have been reported in a few studies on adult patients, but never in pediatrics.

Key components of the swallowing process are present around 34 to 35 weeks postmenstrual age (PMA), but preterm infants fatigue early affecting timing, quality and efficiency in swallowing and prolonging breathing pauses. Feeding strategies need to address these specific challenges in suck-swallow-breathe coordination.

Paediatric critical care units are designed for children at a vulnerable stage of development, yet the evidence base for practice and policy in paediatric critical care remains scarce. In this Health Policy, we present a roadmap providing strategic guidance for international paediatric critical care trials. We convened a multidisciplinary group of 32 paediatric critical care experts from six continents representing paediatric critical care research networks and groups.

Objective: Anxiety and depression are common disorders in children and adolescents and can have a negative impact on their lives. The Revised Child Anxiety and Depression Scale - Child and Parent versions (RCADS and RCADS-P) are widely used standardized measurement tools, but the Slovenian versions have not yet been validated. The aim of the present study was to examine the psychometric properties of the Slovenian version of RCADS and RCADS-P in a representative Slovenian school sample.
