The aging process induces a variety of changes in the brain detectable by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). These changes include alterations in brain volume, fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) white matter hyperintense lesions, and variations in tissue properties such as relaxivity, myelin, iron content, neurite density, and other microstructures. Each MRI technique offers unique insights into the structural and compositional changes occurring in the brain due to normal aging or neurodegenerative diseases.

FT-NIR models for predicting film quality parameters in titanium dioxide-free tablet coatings.

This study leverages Fourier Transform Near-Infrared (FT-NIR) spectroscopy to monitor the coating process of pharmaceutical tablets using PVA-based TiO-free films, with talc and iron oxides as opacifiers. By employing a combination of multivariate analytical techniques, the correlation between film coating progression and film thickness was evaluated. Assessment of coating thickness for different coating levels was performed by optical microscopy.

Spatial distribution and isotopic signatures of N and C in mosses across Europe.

The accumulation of nitrogen (N) in moss tissue has proven to be a reliable marker of increasing N deposition. However, this measurement does not offer additional data about the origin of pollution. In this respect, the analysis of the N isotopic ratios might be a helpful tool in providing supplementary information about the nature of the nitrogenous species in biomonitoring surveys.

Air pollution constitutes a significant worldwide environmental challenge, presenting threats to both our well-being and the purity of our food supply. This study suggests employing Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) models featuring Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) units for forecasting PM10 particle levels in multiple locations in Skopje simultaneously over a time span of 1, 6, 12, and 24 hours. Historical air quality measurement data were gathered from various local sensors positioned at different sites in Skopje, along with data on meteorological conditions from publicly available APIs.

Introduction: Kidney replacement therapy (KRT) by dialysis or kidney transplantation represents the main treatment modalities for patients with kidney failure. Here we evaluate the trends in taking care of such patients in North Macedonia from 2015 through 2020.

Introduction: Veterinary clinical microbiology laboratories play a key role in antimicrobial stewardship, surveillance of antimicrobial resistance and prevention of healthcare associated-infections. Background: Only 10-40% of patients with cancer in low-income and middle-income countries were able to access curative or palliative radiotherapy in 2015. We aimed to assess the current status of diagnostic imaging and radiotherapy services in the Baltic countries, eastern Europe, central Asia, and the Caucasus by collecting and analysing local data.

The present study describes the genetic characterization of strains found in the Republic of Kosovo's food chain. From 2016 to 2022, 995 samples were collected. Overall, 648 samples were from ready-to-eat (RTE) food products, 281 from food products consumed cooked (FPCC), 60 from raw materials, and 6 from environmental samples.
