Metal nanoparticle phytosynthesis has become, in recent decades, one of the most promising alternatives for the development of nanomaterials using "green chemistry" methods. The present work describes, for the first time in the literature, the phytosynthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using extracts obtained by two methods using the aerial parts of L. The extracts (obtained by classical temperature extraction and microwave-assisted extraction) were characterized in terms of total phenolics content and by HPLC analysis, while the phytosynthesis process was confirmed using X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy, the results suggesting that the classical method led to the obtaining of smaller-dimension AgNPs (average diameter under 15 nm by TEM).

Two new cyanido-bridged {FeM} double chains were obtained by reacting cyanido anions [M(CN)] with complex cations [Fe(tptz)] (preformed by mixing a hydrated tetrafluoroborate salt of iron(II) and a tptz ligand, tptz = 2,4,6-tri(2-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine) having the general formula [Fe(tptz)M(CN)]·2HO·CHCN, where M = Pd (1) or Pt (2). Additionally, two molecular complexes formulated as [Fe(tptz)][M(CN)]·4.25HO, where M = Pd (3) or Pt (4), were subsequently obtained from the same reaction, as secondary products.

The article reviews the literature focused on investigating the adhesion strength between the 3D-printed polymers and the textile substrates, and its dependence on different factors related to materials, printing parameters, and fabrics type and structure. 3D printing (3DP) onto textiles is a domain in expansion as it allows developing products with new functionalities by gathering the advantages of design freedom, tailor-fit, comfort, variety, and mass customization provided by both the textiles and the additive manufacturing technology. In this context, it becomes important to document and understand how the adherence of different 3D-printed molten polymer to diverse textiles substrates can be improved for obtaining products more resistant to specific conditions, such as washing, wear, or ironing.

Gelatin nanofibers are known as wound-healing biomaterials due to their high biocompatible, biodegradable, and non-antigenic properties compared to synthetic-polymer-fabricated nanofibers. The influence of gamma radiation doses on the structure of gelatin nanofiber dressings compared to gelatin of their origin is little known, although it is very important for the production of stable bioactive products. Different-origin gelatins were extracted from bovine and donkey hides, rabbit skins, and fish scales and used for fabrication of nanofibers through electrospinning of gelatin solutions in acetic acid.

BACKGROUND Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), originally described as retrolental fibroplasia, represents an abnormal growth of blood vessels in the premature retina that can occur in response to oxygen therapy. The association between ROP and invasive mechanical ventilation has been widely studied in the literature; however, the relationships between different types of ventilation and ROP have not been as well documented. This study aimed to compare the association of ROP incidence with mechanical ventilation (MV), nasal continuous positive airway pressure (nCPAP), and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) therapies in 130 pre-term infants with gestational ages <32 weeks.
