Recent reports on intense-field pump-probe experiments for high-order harmonic generation (HHG) from coherently rotating linear molecules have revealed remarkable characteristic effects of the simultaneous variation of the polarization geometry and the time delay on the high-order harmonic signals. We analyze the effects and give a unified theoretical account of the experimental observations. Furthermore, characteristic behavior at critical polarization angles are found that can help to identify the molecular orbital symmetry in connection with the problem of molecular imaging from the HHG data.

The authors previously reported the isolation and partial characterization of a periplasmically located dihydrolipoamide dehydrogenase (LPD) from the cyanobacterium Synechocystis sp. strain PCC 6803. In the present work the gene (lpdA; database accession number Z48564) encoding the apoprotein of this LPD in Synechocystis PCC 6803 has been identified, sequenced and analysed.

A laboratory study was conducted to examine the role of explorative decision making for interpersonal conflict resolution. Participants were 64 male students, who had to negotiate for an outcome distribution against bogus enactment of two confederates. Questionnaire and observational data, which were taken before, during and after the negotiation revealed strong support for hypothesized effects of coping with situational antagonism.
