Objective: Both changes in body composition and increased fall risk occur with increasing age. While weight management may be considered a component of falls prevention, the long-term consequences of changes in weight, however, remain uncertain. This prospective study aimed to evaluate the relationship between weight and body composition changes over 5 years with fall occurrence.

Endoscopic transoral excision of parapharyngeal space (PPS) tumors is often condemned for its many limitations. We revisit this approach and aim to introduce some updated perspectives following the advancement of endoscopic instrumentation, robotic transoral surgery, and radical tonsillectomy. We illustrate the techniques that were deployed for six patients with huge benign PPS tumors originating from the pre-styloid compartment at our center.

Objective: Previous reports indicate that diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) rates in Malaysian children with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) range between 54-75%, which is higher than most European nations. Knowledge of trends and predictors of DKA can be helpful to inform measures to lower the rates of DKA. However, this data is lacking in Malaysian children.

Method: This was a descriptive cross-sectional design study. Data were collected from 25 to 31 December 2022, at six hospitals in Sichuan province.
