First Measurement of the Z→μ^{+}μ^{-} Angular Coefficients in the Forward Region of pp Collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV.

The first study of the angular distribution of μ^{+}μ^{-} pairs produced in the forward rapidity region via the Drell-Yan reaction pp→γ^{*}/Z+X→ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-}+X is presented, using data collected with the LHCb detector at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.1  fb^{-1}. The coefficients of the five leading terms in the angular distribution are determined as a function of the dimuon transverse momentum and rapidity.

[Fall prevention in older adults: what if the physician's and the patient's risk evaluation vary?].

Falls may lead to functional impairment, fear of falling, decreased quality of life, high health care costs and mortality. A case of an older adult presented in this article, illustrates the multifactorial nature of risk of falling and fall prevention strategies. Recently, meta-analyses were performed to determine the effectiveness of interventions to prevent falls and to explore the effect of intervention components in reducing fear of falling.

[Reliable diagnostics: clinical gestalt or prediction rule?].

Diagnostic prediction models can support the diagnostic process, both for experienced physicians and for physicians with little experience. More attention should be paid to the incorporation of diagnostic prediction models in the electronic patient record, so that a more accurate probability estimate can be made without simplification to rounded sumscores. A uniform cut-off of sum scores with associated categorization is also undesirable, because it does not take the context of the individual patient sufficiently into account.

[Coordinating and tailoring hospital care for patients with multimorbidity: who will take the lead?].

Objective: To gain insight in medical specialists' and nurse practitioners' opinions on multimorbidity and coordination and tailoring of hospital care.

Design: Exploratory mixed-method design.

Method: From August 2018 until January 2019, 35 Dutch medical associations were asked to forward a digital survey with open- and close-ended questions to their members.

Angular Analysis of D^{0}→π^{+}π^{-}μ^{+}μ^{-} and D^{0}→K^{+}K^{-}μ^{+}μ^{-} Decays and Search for CP Violation.

The first full angular analysis and an updated measurement of the decay-rate CP asymmetry of the D^{0}→π^{+}π^{-}μ^{+}μ^{-} and D^{0}→K^{+}K^{-}μ^{+}μ^{-} decays are reported. The analysis uses proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. The dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 9  fb^{-1}.

Study of the doubly charmed tetraquark [Formula: see text].

Quantum chromodynamics, the theory of the strong force, describes interactions of coloured quarks and gluons and the formation of hadronic matter. Conventional hadronic matter consists of baryons and mesons made of three quarks and quark-antiquark pairs, respectively. Particles with an alternative quark content are known as exotic states.

Assessing rigid modes of thinking in self-declared abortion ideology: natural language processing insights from an online pilot qualitative study on abortion attitudes.

Introduction: Although much work has been done on US abortion ideology, less is known relative to the psychological processes that distinguish personal abortion beliefs or how those beliefs are communicated to others. As part of a forthcoming probability-based sampling designed study on US abortion climate, we piloted a study with a controlled sample to determine whether psychological indicators guiding abortion beliefs can be meaningfully extracted from qualitative interviews using natural language processing (NLP) substring matching. Of particular interest to this study is the presence of cognitive distortions-markers of rigid thinking-spoken during interviews and how cognitive distortion frequency may be tied to rigid, or firm, abortion beliefs.

Observation of the Decay Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}τ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{τ}.

The first observation of the semileptonic b-baryon decay Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}τ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{τ}, with a significance of 6.1σ, is reported using a data sample corresponding to 3  fb^{-1} of integrated luminosity, collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV at the LHC. The τ^{-} lepton is reconstructed in the hadronic decay to three charged pions.

Tests of Lepton Universality Using B^{0}→K_{S}^{0}ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-} and B^{+}→K^{*+}ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-} Decays.

Tests of lepton universality in B^{0}→K_{S}^{0}ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-} and B^{+}→K^{*+}ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-} decays where ℓ is either an electron or a muon are presented. The differential branching fractions of B^{0}→K_{S}^{0}e^{+}e^{-} and B^{+}→K^{*+}e^{+}e^{-} decays are measured in intervals of the dilepton invariant mass squared. The measurements are performed using proton-proton collision data recorded by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9  fb^{-1} .

Multicomponent intervention to prevent mobility disability in frail older adults: randomised controlled trial (SPRINTT project).

Objective: To determine whether a multicomponent intervention based on physical activity with technological support and nutritional counselling prevents mobility disability in older adults with physical frailty and sarcopenia.

Design: Evaluator blinded, randomised controlled trial.

Setting: 16 clinical sites across 11 European countries, January 2016 to 31 October 2019.

Observation of Two New Excited Ξ_{b}^{0} States Decaying to Λ_{b}^{0}K^{-}π^{+}.

Two narrow resonant states are observed in the Λ_{b}^{0}K^{-}π^{+} mass spectrum using a data sample of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, collected by the LHCb experiment and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6  fb^{-1}. The minimal quark content of the Λ_{b}^{0}K^{-}π^{+} system indicates that these are excited Ξ_{b}^{0} baryons. The masses of the Ξ_{b}(6327)^{0} and Ξ_{b}(6333)^{0} states are m[Ξ_{b}(6327)^{0}]=6327.

Evidence for a New Structure in the J/ψp and J/ψp[over ¯] Systems in B_{s}^{0}→J/ψpp[over ¯] Decays.

An amplitude analysis of flavor-untagged B_{s}^{0}→J/ψpp[over ¯] decays is performed using a sample of 797±31 decays reconstructed with the LHCb detector. The data, collected in proton-proton collisions between 2011 and 2018, correspond to an integrated luminosity of 9  fb^{-1}. Evidence for a new structure in the J/ψp and J/ψp[over ¯] systems with a mass of 4337_{-4}^{+7} _{-2}^{+2}  MeV and a width of 29_{-12}^{+26} _{-14}^{+14}  MeV is found, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic, with a significance in the range of 3.

Analysis of Neutral B-Meson Decays into Two Muons.

Branching fraction and effective lifetime measurements of the rare decay B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-} and searches for the decays B^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-} and B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-}γ are reported using proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to a luminosity of 9  fb^{-1}. [Call to integrate climate change in medical education].

Climate change forms an urgent health threat and gains attention in global medical literature as well as in Dutch healthcare. Climate change, however, is still absent in medical education. Health professionals must acquire knowledge concerning the health effects of climate change and train the values, skills, capacities, and motivation necessary to contribute to climate adaptation and mitigation.

[Meaningful interventions for peripheral arterial disease: Stopping primary referral to the vascular surgeon and angioplasty].

Supervised exercise therapy with lifestyle counseling by a specialized physical therapist has replaced endovascular or open revascularization as primary treatment for intermittent claudication for most patients in the Netherlands. Succesful implementation of this guideline-recommended treatment strategy was achieved by warranting availability and quality of care by organizing care around a national network. Further reductions in unnecessary interventions in this population may be achieved when general practitioners and medical specialists collaborate, for instance by making in-hospital vascular diagnostic laboratories accessible for primary care.

The QUality of Interhospital Transportation in the Euregion Meuse-Rhine (QUIT-EMR) score: a cross-validation study.

Objectives: Interhospital transports of critically ill patients are high-risk medical interventions. Well-established parameters to quantify the quality of transports are currently lacking. We aimed to develop and cross-validate a score for interhospital transports.

Branching Fraction Measurements of the Rare B_{s}^{0}→ϕμ^{+}μ^{-} and B_{s}^{0}→f_{2}^{'}(1525)μ^{+}μ^{-} Decays.

The branching fraction of the rare B_{s}^{0}→ϕμ^{+}μ^{-} decay is measured using data collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to integrated luminosities of 1, 2, and 6  fb^{-1}, respectively. The Effect of Discontinuing Denosumab in Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis Treated With Glucocorticoids.

Objective: To evaluate changes in bone turnover and bone mineral density (BMD) in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) receiving glucocorticoids, after discontinuation of denosumab for 12 months.

Methods: We conducted a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase II study of RA patients. Patients received placebo, denosumab 60 mg, or denosumab 180 mg every 6 months for 12 months and were followed up for an additional 12 months after discontinuation, during which no bone loss prevention therapy was instituted.

[Too little attention for overdiagnosis?].

Due to the rapid technical development and increasing availability of diagnostic tests, the use of diagnostics by general practitioners and medical specialists is increasing. However, the excessive use of diagnostic tests is also explained by the behavior of the doctors as well as patients. In this Perspective we outline factors that perpetuate excessive use of diagnostic tests, further fuelling overdiagnosis.
