Belatacept, a fusion protein combining cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4 (CTLA-4) and the Fc region of human IgG1, is increasingly used as a calcineurin inhibitor-sparing regimen in patients with chronic graft dysfunction. Older kidney transplant recipients, particularly from expanded criteria donors, may be switched to belatacept due to poor renal recovery. However, late-onset cytomegalovirus (CMV) reactivation is increasingly reported with this treatment, especially in older patients with graft dysfunction.

The control of cell-cell communication via plasmodesmata (PD) plays a key role in plant development. In tree buds, low-temperature conditions (LT) induce a switch in plasmodesmata from a closed to an open state, which restores cell-to-cell communication in the shoot apex and releases dormancy. Nation-wide monitoring campaign of 49 biocides and surfactants in surface waters and wastewaters.

Despite their intensive use and their impact on ecosystems, biocides and surfactants are still poorly regulated and poorly monitored at large scale. In the frame of the revision of the national regulatory surveillance plan of surface waters, France planned in 2018 a monitoring campaign at national scale focused on these two types of substances of very emerging concern. Forty-nine contaminants (32 biocides and 17 surfactants) were investigated in surface water and sediment samples from 91 sampling sites, and in effluent and sludge samples of 7 wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), in mainland France and overseas regions.
