Young health advocates have the legitimate aspiration to be masters of their future and are increasingly contributing to public health research and practice worldwide, yet their potential to contribute to the documentation and communication of outputs from public health conferences has not been fully realised. This short communication highlights the Youth Committee of the 2023 European Conference on Tobacco or Health as an example of youth involvement in a major public health conference focused on tobacco control. The authors explore the benefits, practicalities and challenges of incorporating young professionals into conference workflow, including creativity, networking and engagement with broader public health challenges within their communities.

Importance: Despite the importance of pronosupination strength, which is key in daily activities, current evaluation protocols are disparate, and results differ regarding the influence of factors such as gender, age, limb dominance, or posture.
Objective: To design a reliable device to measure pronation and supination torques in different forearm positions, considering the influence of gender, age, and limb dominance.
Design: Reliability study with analysis of intrarater and interrater repeatability and examination of the influence of different factors on the strength of pronation and supination.

A man in his 40s, with no tobacco or alcohol habit, was referred to the otorhinolaryngology department presenting with a 2-month history of enlarged left cervical lymphadenopathy with no other signs or symptoms. The ear, nose and throat examination showed no abnormalities apart from the described lymphadenopathy. An ultrasound scan suggested these nodes to be part of either an inflammatory or a malignant process.

Decellularized tracheal transplantation involves implanting an organ that was originally in contact with the environment, thus not being sterile from the outset. While the decellularization protocol (through detergent exposition [2% sodium dodecyl sulfate], continuous stirring, and osmotic shocks) is conducted in line with aseptic measures, it does not provide sterilization.

Introduction: Compare cost of the interstitial liquid glucose flash monitoring (FM) system (FreeStyle Libre 2) versus self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) in adults with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) in Spain.
Research Design And Methods: A model was developed to estimate, with the perspective of the Spanish health system, the annual costs associated with glucose monitoring and hypoglycemic events management in T1DM population, with multiple insulin daily doses (MDI). According to published evidence, rate of severe hypoglycemia (SHE) of 4.

Objective: Observations in real-world settings support and extend findings demonstrated in randomized controlled trials that show flash glucose monitoring improves glycemic control. In this study, Spain-specific relationships between testing frequency and glycemic parameters were investigated under real-world settings.
Research Design And Methods: Deidentified glucose and user scanning data were analyzed and readers were rank ordered into 20 equal sized groups by daily scan frequency.

Background: Serum KL6/mucin 1 (MUC1) has been identified as a potential biomarker in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), but the role of MUC1 intracellular bioactivation in IPF is unknown.
Objective: To characterise MUC1 intracellular bioactivation in IPF.
Methods And Results: The expression and phosphorylation of Thr and Tyr on the intracellular MUC1-cytoplasmic tail (CT) was increased in patients with IPF (n=22) compared with healthy subjects (n=21) and localised to fibroblasts and hyperplastic alveolar type II cells.

We describe a minimally invasive transoral approach to the infratemporal fossa, by means of endoscopy, which facilitates examination and resection of lesions in this area. Furthermore, we outline the technique employed and a case treated with this approach, which permits a rapid access with very low patient morbidity, due to the use of endoscopy and of transoral access, instead of traditional transfacial approaches.

Because of the many HIV-related malignancies, the diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma in patients infected with human immunodeficiency virus are challenging. Here, we review current knowledge of the pathogenesis, epidemiology, symptomatology, diagnosis, and treatment of head and neck lymphomas in HIV patients from a clinical perspective. Although Hodgkin's lymphoma is not an AIDS-defining neoplasm, its prevalence is ten times higher in HIV patients than in the general population.
