Objective: To evaluate preventive interventions on alcohol consumption has been long recommended in Spain. The impact evaluation of structured programs and specific actions for the prevention and treatment of alcohol consumption (PAPTCA) would allow making better informed decisions on public health financing based on the efficiency criteria. To the best of our knowledge, there is no scientific document that illustrates the situation of the PAPTCAs' evaluation in Spain.

Introduction: Traumatic quadruple amputations limit daily living activities; however, the current literature regarding rehabilitation treatment for multi-limb amputations is scant. The patient showed adaptation to prosthetic fittings, acquiring a level of functional independence that enabled the patient to lead a nearly independent life.

Methods: The patient's therapeutic intervention was divided into a pre-prosthetic phase, which consisted of functional physical adaptation to the amputation and preparation for the prostheses, and a prosthetic phase, in which different myoelectric and microprocessor limb prostheses were integrated to be used functionally.

Objective: Pediatric population is the most vulnerable to secondhand smoke (SHS), exposure being households the main source of exposure in children. The objective of this study is to describe smoke-free households and the prevalence of SHS in the pediatric population (from 3 to 36 months) in Spain.

Methods: Cross-sectional study with 1,368 parents, mothers or guardians with children from 3 to 36 months carried out in Spain from March to November of 2017 through an online questionnaire as part of the EPISON study.

When a patient with lung cancer presents non-specific respiratory symptoms there are many diagnostic options. Chemotherapy is the cornerstone of treatment in many stages of lung cancer and its toxicity is well known. The main priority is to prevent life-threatening diseases such as lung infection, which can be treated successfully if a prompt, accurate diagnosis is given.
