The use of insulin for patients with diabetes mellitus in Indonesia appears to be under expectation; moreover, there are gaps in knowledge regarding the proper injection technique and pen needle reuse by both healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients. To address these issues, a scientific expert meeting was held with the participation of endocrinologists and public health specialist from many different organizations in Indonesia to identify the challenges and problem related to injection technique, high pen needle reuse rate, and the need of all stakeholders. The experts agreed that it is necessary to ensure physicians to start the initiation phase as early as indicated, continue optimizing its dosage to reach targeted blood sugar based on guideline, and involve all relevant stakeholders to improve insulin distribution and patient access in every primary care facility in order to optimize the use of insulin or other injectable diabetes medications in Indonesia.

Introduction: Medical students are a population at increased risk for anxiety due to their demanding schedule and concerns about potential stigmatization, which often leads to discouragement when seeking help. COVID-19 pandemic has been reported to worsen this issue by restricting social interaction and mobility. To address this problem, an innovative method known as Asynchronous Digital Cognitive Education GAMA-AIMS (DCE GAMA-AIMS) has been introduced.

Introduction Triple assessment, consisting of clinical breast examination, breast imaging, and fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB), is the gold standard for breast lump diagnosis to avoid diagnostic errors. However, current diagnostic practices for breast lump cases in Indonesia are widely variable and evidence for triple assessment implementation is lacking. We aimed to explore the implementation of diagnostic assessments in breast lump cases, its influencing factors, and its association with diagnostic error.

Background: With improvement in a population's welfare, its food consumption patterns may change, including those of nursing mothers. This, in turn, could influence their human milk composition.
Research Aim: To investigate the secular trend in macronutrient composition of mature human milk from mothers of healthy, full-term infants in urban populations in Indonesia from 1974 and 2019.

Introduction Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) is a common and debilitating adverse effect of breast cancer chemotherapy. The incidence of CINV in the first cycle of chemotherapy is essential, as it sets the tone for anticipatory CINV and the overall patients' treatment experience. We aimed to investigate the risk factors of first cycle CINV in breast cancer patients and to develop a classification and regression tree (CART) model to predict its occurrence.

Inflammatory response in COVID-19 contributes greatly to disease severity. Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) have the potential to alleviate inflammation and reduce mortality and length of stay in COVID-19 patients. We investigated the safety and effectiveness of normoxic-allogenic umbilical cord (NA-UC)-MSCs as an adjunctive treatment in severe COVID-19 patients.

Long-term inflammation and recurrent skin infection in recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB) are associated with the presence of immunoglobulin A (IgA)-containing immune complexes in the glomerulus. Only eight pediatric RDEB cases with IgA nephropathy (IgAN) have been documented in English-language literature. Most RDEB patients with IgAN progress to kidney failure within 5 years of diagnosis, indicating that these patients may require more intensive early treatment compared to those with primary IgAN.

End-stage renal disease patients on haemodialysis (HD) have been largely excluded from SARS-CoV-2 vaccine trials due to safety reasons and shown to mount lower responses to vaccination. This study aims to evaluate the immunogenicity and safety of inactivated COVID-19 vaccine among HD patients compared to healthy controls. All subjects who received the primary inactivated COVID-19 vaccination had their blood samples tested 21 days after the second dose.

Background: A significant decrease in antibody titres several months after COVID-19 primary vaccination in end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) patients receiving maintenance haemodialysis has recently been reported. The waning in antibody titres has led to the recommendations for a booster dose to increase the antibody titres after vaccination. Consequently, it is crucial to analyse the long-term humoral immune responses after COVID-19 primary vaccination and assess the immunogenicity and safety of booster doses in haemodialysis (HD) patients.

Due to the nature of the disease, end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients suffer from dysfunction of the adaptive immune system, which leads to a poorer response to vaccination. Accordingly, it is crucial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of management strategies, including vaccinations, which could potentially reduce the risk of respiratory diseases, such as pneumonia, influenza, or COVID-19, and its associated outcomes. We searched PubMed, CENTRAL, ScienceDirect, Scopus, ProQuest, and Google Scholar databases using designated MeSH keywords.

Transient pancytopenia due to reactive bone marrow suppression often occurs in hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), a syndrome resulting from excessive immune activation following a severe infection. We reported two cases with pancytopenia and disseminated histoplasmosis accompanied by HLH, initially suspected to be blood malignancies. Our first case documented the relevance between the improvement of pancytopenia and the clearance of Histoplasma capsulatum in serial bone marrow aspirations.
