Background: Fish scale waste is highly valued both as a functional food ingredient and a potential feed source for farmed fish. This study aimed to analyse the chemical composition, fatty acid profile, and mineral content in fish scale flour of , , and as potential feed for fish fry.

Methods: Fish scales were cleaned with 10% w/v NaCl solution at a ratio of 1:10 (w/w) for 24 hours at 4 °C.

Giant gourami, is the most important freshwater fish species produced by aquaculture in Indonesia. This study aimed to the effects of various newly formulated products on the amino acid composition of the diet and whole-body carcass, and to analyse the growth coefficient, body indices, and gut micromorphology. One hundred gram of palm sap sugar was cooked in 1.

This study investigated the treatability of dissolved organic matter (DOM) by the selected lab-scale drinking water treatment processes using fluorescence excitation-emission matrix (EEM) analysis. The fluorescence ratio Peak 3/Peak 2 was established from well-defined fluorescence peak intensity of humic-like components (Ex/Em: 225 nm/425 nm) and protein-like components (Ex/Em: 230 nm/345 nm). Peak 3/Peak 2 predicted the aromatic characteristics of DOM and their origins in the different natural surface water feeding the different drinking water treatment plants.

The Asian redtail catfish is a promising commercial aquaculture freshwater big-sized Bagridae catfish across Asian countries such as the Mekong, Malay Peninsula, and Indonesia. This study analysed the effect of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA, 20:5n-3) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, 22:6n-3) supplementation in diets on changes in fatty acid compositions in feed and fish meat, lipid quality (atherogenic index and thrombogenic index), growth rate, body indicators, and serum metabolites of juveniles A total of 180 Asian redtail catfish (initial weight 54.80 ± 2.

This study aims to improve the electrical-mechanical performance of traditional epoxy/graphite composites for engineering applications. The improvement in the properties of these composites depended on the incorporation of different sizes of graphite particles of the same type and controlling their curing process conditions. The thermal properties and microstructural changes were also characterized.

This study aims to study how disaster losses are affected by unemployment and poverty, then how disasters also cause income inequality in Indonesia and the causal relationship between disaster losses and income inequality. To determine the structural relationship between economic variables and disaster losses, the Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Squares (SEM - PLS) approach is used. This approach is an approach previously not found in economic and environmental studies.

Background Aquaculture systems for giant gourami, Lacepède (1801), have significantly improved fish production yields and food security in Indonesia. However, these systems also cause serious problems in terms of eutrophication in waterbodies. This study analysed the nutrient loading and farm characteristics of giant gourami in floating cages in Lake Maninjau.
