Inflammation plays a critical role in myocardial infarction as a critical process in the development of heart failure, involving the development of cardiac fibrosis. Colchicine is a well-established anti-inflammatory drug, but its scientific application in controlling post-acute myocardial infarction (AMI) inflammatory processes has not been established. IL-10 is a key cytokine in modulating inflammatory responses, underscoring its potential as a crucial therapeutic target of colchicine.

Myocardial involvement among critically ill patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) often has worse outcomes. An imbalance in the oxygen supply causes the excessive release of pro-inflammatory cytokines, which results in increased ventilation requirements and the risk of death in COVID-19 patients. We evaluated the association between the hs-troponin I levels and global longitudinal strain (GLS) as evidence of myocardial involvement among critical COVID-19 patients.

Introduction And Importance: A high-angle thoracolumbar kyphotic deformity (TLKD) may complicate surgical rectification of AS patients since one-stage two-level pedicle subtraction osteotomy (PSO), which provides high-angular correction, leads to excessive blood loss, neurological deficits and fixation failures. This case series presents the long-term results of one-stage single level PSO with Ponte osteotomy (PO) in the treatment of AS patients with high-angle TLKD.

Case Presentation: This case series presents two AS patients with high kyphotic angles (KAs) of 86.
