Aim: We sought to describe the characteristics of at-school out-of-hospital cardiac arrests cases, subsequent basic life support, as well as ultimate patient outcomes.
Methods: This was a nation-wide, multicentre, retrospective cohort study from the French national population-based RéAC out-of-hospital cardiac arrest registry (July 2011 - March 2023). We compared the characteristics and outcomes of cases occurring at schools vs.

Only a minority of patients with glioblastoma (GBM) respond to immunotherapy, and always only partially. There is a lack of knowledge on immune distribution in GBM and in its tumor microenvironment (TME). To address the question, we used paired primary and recurrent tumors from GBM patients to study the composition and the evolution of the immune landscape upon treatment.

Transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) individuals experience higher rates of mood and anxiety disorders than the general public. Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is an effective and well-tolerated treatment for major depressive disorder, in cisgender patients. With the very recent exception of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), neuromodulation in TGD patients is not addressed in the literature.

Background: The natural history of patients with a pacemaker-related upper-extremity deep vein thrombosis (UEDVT) has not been consistently studied.
Methods: We used the RIETE registry data to compare the outcomes during anticoagulation and after its discontinuation in noncancer patients with symptomatic UEDVT associated with a pacemaker, other catheters, or no catheter. The major outcome was the composite of symptomatic pulmonary embolism or recurrent DVT.

Objectives: This nationwide survey aimed to establish an overview of HIV testing practices in French free healthcare centers (Permanences d'Accès aux Soins de Santé - PASS) and to identify potential obstacles encountered by their staff.
Methods: A questionnaire was distributed between January and July 2020 to all French PASS units, with a total of 97 respondents.
Results: Fifty-six percent of responding PASS units did not have a systematic screening protocol.

Objectives: Because NRTIs can have fetal toxicities, we evaluated a perinatal NRTI-sparing strategy to prevent perinatal HIV transmission. Our primary objective was to determine the proportion maintaining a viral load (VL) of <50 copies/mL up to delivery on darunavir/ritonavir monotherapy, without requiring treatment intensification.
Methods: In a one-arm, multicentre Phase 2 clinical trial, eligible patients in the first trimester of pregnancy on ART with plasma VL < 50 copies/mL received maintenance monotherapy with darunavir/ritonavir, 600/100 mg twice daily.

Amelogenesis imperfecta (AI) is a heterogeneous group of genetic rare diseases disrupting enamel development (Smith et al., Front Physiol, 2017a, 8, 333). The clinical enamel phenotypes can be described as hypoplastic, hypomineralized or hypomature and serve as a basis, together with the mode of inheritance, to Witkop's classification (Witkop, J Oral Pathol, 1988, 17, 547-553).

This French National Diagnostic and Care Protocol (NDPC) includes both pediatric and adult patients with non-infectious chronic uveitis (NICU) or non-infectious recurrent uveitis (NIRU). NICU is defined as uveitis that persists for at least 3 months or with frequent relapses occurring less than 3 months after cessation of treatment. NIRU is repeated episodes of uveitis separated by periods of inactivity of at least 3 months in the absence of treatment.

The spectrum of somatic mutations in pediatric histiocytoses and their clinical implications are not fully characterized, especially for non-Langerhans cell histiocytosis (-LCH) subtypes. A cohort of 415 children with histiocytosis from the French histiocytosis registry was reviewed and analyzed for BRAF . Most BRAF samples were analyzed by next-generation sequencing (NGS) with a custom panel of genes for histiocytosis and myeloid neoplasia.

Background: The French national protocol for controlled donation after circulatory determination of death (cDCD) includes normothermic regional perfusion (NRP) in case of abdominal organ procurement and additional ex-vivo lung perfusion (EVLP) before considering lung transplantation (LT).
Methods: We made a retrospective study of a prospective registry that included all donors considered for cDCD LT from the beginning of the program in May 2016 to November 2021.
Results: One hundred grafts from 14 donor hospitals were accepted by 6 LT centers.

Introduction: Primary spontaneous pneumothorax (PSP) is the presence of air in the pleural space, occurring in the absence of trauma and known lung disease. Standardized expert guidelines on PSP are needed due to the variety of diagnostic methods, therapeutic strategies and medical and surgical disciplines involved in its management.
Methods: Literature review, analysis of literature according to the GRADE (Grading of Recommendation Assessment, Development and Evaluation) methodology; proposals for guidelines rated by experts, patients, and organizers to reach a consensus.

Malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) is an aggressive cancer with rising incidence and challenging clinical management. Through a large series of whole-genome sequencing data, integrated with transcriptomic and epigenomic data using multiomics factor analysis, we demonstrate that the current World Health Organization classification only accounts for up to 10% of interpatient molecular differences. Instead, the MESOMICS project paves the way for a morphomolecular classification of MPM based on four dimensions: ploidy, tumor cell morphology, adaptive immune response and CpG island methylator profile.

Aims: Sacral neuromodulation (SNM) is an advanced therapy option for the treatment of overactive bladder (OAB), nonobstructive urinary retention, and fecal incontinence. The aim of this ongoing prospective, multicenter, global, postmarket study is to confirm safety and clinical performance of the InterStim Micro system for SNM in all indications. Reported here are the results for the OAB cohort through 6-month follow-up.

Background: Patients who completed the originating studies, BREEZE-AD1 (NCT03334396), BREEZE-AD2(NCT03334422), and BREEZE-AD7 (NCT03733301), were eligible for enrollment in the multicenter,phase-3, long-term extension study BREEZE-AD3 (NCT03334435).
Methods: At week 52, responders and partial responders to baricitinib 4 mg were re-randomized (1:1) into the sub-study to dose continuation (4 mg, N = 84), or dose down-titration (2 mg, N = 84). Maintenance of response was assessed from week 52 to 104 of BREEZE-AD3.

The pancreas is very susceptible to ischemia-reperfusion injury. Early graft losses due to pancreatitis and thrombosis represent a major issue after pancreas transplantation. Sterile inflammation during organ procurement (during brain death and ischemia-reperfusion) and after transplantation affects organ outcomes.
